Dante's was ok. I had the opportunity to dine here with a friend this past Fri and was a bit disappointed. We were excited about trying out this spot as menu and reviews read well.

We ordered a 2018 Barolo and was slightly surprised a decanter was not used given that it was 6yrs old, and considered vintage and the sediment content and allowing it breath. We let it sit in our glasses for a bit to allow for this. The initial pour by our waiter/waitress was also too much in the glass (ditto with the sparkling H2O).

We ordered a Caesar salad to share and both the size and presentation to price value was a bit lackluster, although the dressing was tasty. We than shared the spinach ravioli before our entrees and that was tasty. Our entrees were the dover sole and filet (ordered medium). The filet came out rare (medium rare is my fav though!), and we sent it back to be re-cooked. When it came back it was well! With that said, we just took the meal for what it's worth and moved forward. Oh, the sides of twice baked potatoes augratin, and carrots/broccoli was well seasoned and the bread selection was tasty.

Lastly, there weren't many people dining here when our reservation came up, and although I mentioned I would prefer a more quiet location in the restaurant, we were seated next to a large family party and another couple.

All in all, I would give it one more try, however, be more vocal in real-time about the need to up their service and food prep/chef'ing game.

And, always tip your servers 20%+ unless everything was a...

After a day of meetings my CEO brought his direct reports to dinner to unwind . For many years I have not been a fan of Italian food but that has slowly changed so now I know what to order and enjoy.

This restaurant is in Great Falls very close to route 7 and Reston.

Slightly tucked away in a corner you have to drive around and in as we found out when we all called Ubers to take us back home.

Very nice inside atmosphere we were provided a room for of us which provided an intimate setting with a bar.

For appetizers we had the calamari, mozzarella, Torretta and of course bread and oil. With green olives. All very tasty .

For main courses it varied from the sole special which I had and was awesome cooked to perfection. Others had the lobster tail , veal, lamb chops . All enjoyed their food.

For dessert cannoli and Pannacciulli cotta.

Wine of course which accompanied the meal.

Very quaint inside and I have several pictures.

It is so unfortunate I have to even write a review. Tonight we dined at Dante. We made an inside reservation and was taken outside with no explanation. The service was fine and the dinner was fine. We ordered a salad to start and it was bib lettuce salad (which is prone to having bugs on it) and it came out with little bugs all over it. I gestured to the waiter softly and told them. They apologized and said they would take it off the check. We carry on with dinner which was good. We opted out from dessert. We got the check and the BUG salad was still on there. This was no mistake. I saw our server check with the manager and they chose to leave it on there. I couldnโ€™t believe it. I worked in the service industry before and if this happened at my restaurant taking the salad off would have been the least I would do. I thought they would have at least brought a dessert or something. I know times are tough- but yeesh. Donโ€™t charge us for...

The Dante of today is much different from the Dante from 18 years ago. Under new/revamped management, it's casual, friendly, serviced with Italian attitude & accent (in a good way), and affordable for high-end fresh Italian classics. The 5-star rating is solidified based on the food. First and major point, each item we ordered tasted like it was made from scratch as Italian cuisine is touted to be. Second, the desserts made in-house are spectacular, fresh, and unmatched (.... that's right, can't even find anything this fresh or vibrant at any Tyson's Italian place). Specifically, the ***** panna cotta ***** is ridiculously and shockingly delicious .... and super addictive!!!!!!! OK OK.... the panna cotta is so fresh, it jiggles (LOL). If we are in the vicinity, we will likely be stopping by for the desserts to start.

We enjoyed a delightful Date Night dinner. Following recommendations from the online reviews, we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops in lobster sauce, which did not disappoint. I also enjoyed the crepe lasagna, which was a substantial portion. So filling, I only ate half there and finished the other half the next day. So good. The bread basket was delicious to go with a nice wine selection. Too full for dessert, we topped off with a nightcap of Lemonchello. Service was wonderful. Thank you, Eddie! Space is cozy/tight, but we were comfortable in a back corner, which felt a little more intimate. There were so many great menu choices that I can't wait to go back again for more. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿท
