Stopped in for the first time today for lunch. Ordered tacos al pastor and the "corvette margarita." I wanted a simple, quality margarita and this one, (their top shelf margarita), was described as being fresh lime juice, top shelf tequila, agave, and orange liqueur. What I got was a giant goblet of margarita that was so watered down I couldn't even taste the tequila, barely could tell if there was any fresh lime juice used, and only faintly could make out some orange liqueur flavor. I never send anything back at restaurants, but was so watery that I when the waiter came to check on me, I asked if it could please be remade. (I took only a sip from the original and left it on the other side of the table so it was clear I was not drinking it). For a $14 margarita, I felt like I could ask to have it done right. Tacos arrived, and they were great. Authentic, flavorful. New margarita arrived and it was less watery. Closer to what I was hoping for - could taste the tequila and fresh lime, etc. I was happy and said thank you to the waiter with a thumbs up. I got my bill and it showed tacos and one margarita. Great. Gave my credit card to the waiter and then the receipt came back to sign and, strangely, it had been changed to two margaritas and tacos. Waited and eventually got the attention of a waiter. I explained that I did not order two margaritas - but rather, asked for the one I ordered to be remade. At this point another waiter (manager?) came over and said I ordered two margaritas. Again, explained the situation. He asked, "Well who is going to pay for this one then?" I explained that as the customer, I asked for it to be remade and clearly did not drink it. He then stood over me, staring at the receipt, breathing heavily with an angry look on his face for about 30 seconds - saying nothing. He told me his cousin made the margarita. I said that's fine - but it did not taste good. He then clenched his teeth and stood over me again, either waiting for me to cave and just pay or to decide how to bully me into paying. I waited and he eventually cancelled the other bill and charged my original bill of tacos and one margarita. I enjoyed the food and really wanted to enjoy the place - but the treatment over this one simple criticism was creepy and rude. Still gave my original waiter a 25% tip. I guess I can recommend the food, but the service and margarita was...
Read moreThis was an awful experience for our family. Not a family friendly restaurant at all. From the moment we walked in they were Very rude. The hostess rolled her eyes several times. We asked if we could have 3 baskets of chips because we have 3 sets of families; She looked at us and said, "no you get two."
The waiter came over as we were still arranging into seats. He didn't say hi. He started to throw straws down at us . A family member of ours started to ask a question, and the waiter interrupted her; not letting her finish the sentence, and said , " yeah I got it." He didn't even know what she was going to say because he didn't let her speak!
We asked him if he was having a bad day. He immediately said yes . We tried to blow of the ackword situation and give him the benefit of the doubt. As we all finally got seated he didn't loose his attitude, he became extreamly rude and defensive, and raised his voice at as. We finally said we don't have to eat here and walked out.
The hostess was roller her eyes and was laughing as we left.
This was the worst dining experience we have ever had. They were very unprofessional and extreamly disrespectful.
Now, I don't go out of my way to write reviews, but this experience was so bad, I felt compelled to share our experience. I hope no one is ever treated like this by them again! When you walk in and the vibe is off right away, good rule; don't stay because it won't turn out to be a warm experience.
We were not from the area; We googled some places and we drove to a another restaurant.
The restaurant we found was jammed packed and very busy. We were greeted with smiles and seeing our group, they said, " just give us a little while and we will have seating for you." We sat down within 10mins. Very friendly service and we commented how wonderful they were verses our last attempt at dining.
One of our family members owns a restaurant on a large city, so we get it, we understand things happen, life happens, but you don't treat people any less than they deserve; regardless of your feelings. Bad day or not, you treat people with respect...
Read moreI've visited this restaurant over 200 times in the past 6 years, and I can say that service and quality of the staff has dropped precipitously over the course of the last year. Wait times for seating, ordering, and receiving food have all gotten longer. Servers completely forget about you throughout the visit, making it difficult to get refills, report issues with your food, or make any sort of request. No one on the current wait staff appears to have any real desire to appear interested in being a great host/ server. No one really seems to want to be there on a daily basis, which probably explains why the entire staff appears to have fully turned over twice in the last 6 years. It's very unfortunate, as this restaurant used to employ some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, none of which work there any more.
This used to be the # 1 restaurant in the area that I recommend to family and friends when they would visit. Now, I don't even bother recommending it for fear that they will have a...
