Hardee’s — Restaurant in Rhinelander

Tonight I went into the rhinelander hardees for a burger. It was 6:40. I ordered and went to a table. After 15 minutes I asked about my burger. The young man said he would check. He brought my burger to the table at 6:56. He then told me the restaurant was closing at 7. I said well if my burger had come in a timely manner I would have been done. He heard me and came back to my table, after speaking to a woman at the counter and stated I would need to leave in 4 minutes. I took my burger to the counter and demanded my money back. The "manager" was rude and stated there was a sign on the door. If my burger didn't take over 15 minutes to reach me, if they had explained that they were closing at 7, things may have been different. But the managers explaination of the slow service was that the people were new.

The woman who is supposed to be behind the counter was instead out from with her children. After waiting up front with noone there to help us she finally came in and she brought her kids with her? Her son was running around on the hard told floor while holding her newborn son in his arms as he stuggled to keep the baby held up I just wanted out of there so I didn't have to see the kid drop the baby in front of the mom who is supposed to be working. Just a nightmare and then after she finally helped us the son came up to us asking if we had an order number already and then he went to his mother shouting to her that we needed order numbers, trying to tell his mom how to do the job that she wasn't even present...

The food was hot and tasted good! But- the floor was so filthy in this location and the vinyl chairs at the high tables were so dirty that they smelled. I understand that you need to watch your bottom line but customers won’t keep coming in, if they don’t feel comfortable. One other thing. The person taking orders needs to be careful with talking with customers. She came across as rude; however, I don’t think she meant to. She spoke in a monotone and kept repeating to me the ingredients that came on the chicken sandwich(3times). I wasn’t asking her what was on it-I was telling her what I didn’t want. I had been on the road for 6 hours and I guess it didn’t sink in until the third time...
