D's Cookie Dough Company — Restaurant in Rich Township

First time customer. We stopped in pretty close to closing. We were greeted by the owner and she immediately explained since it was close to closing she was sold out on a few items. Since we were new to her establishment she graciously explained her menu and the different types of cookies she offers. Her menu board clearly points out allergy warnings and she even double checked allergies before she boxed certain cookies together. This may not seem important, but to parents with a child who has allergies this was so appreciated. We ordered an oatmeal, chocolate chip and a peanut butter. Since she was out of a few items and only had 1 chocolate chip left she so kindly gave us a couple cookies for free. So we also got to try a sugar and chocolate chip walnut cookie. I couldn’t wait to try them all they looked so delicious! My son devoured the chocolate chip so I can’t speak on that but to guess it must have been fire. As for the others I tried they were indeed delicious. These cookies are huge enough for 2 people to enjoy (or 1 teenage boy). They were soft and moist. Not too sweet but perfectly balanced flavors. The young girl who works is very nice and polite. Most cookies were out of stock because they had not been brought in yet. I was shocked to find out that the cookies were not made on site but in another building and then brought over. These cookies were dry, hard, and lacked taste. I order peanut butter, chocolate chip, sugar, and oatmeal. The chocolate chip cookies may be made with dark chocolate because it's bitter. The peanut butter cookies tasted more like a diet peanut cookie..is really needed peanut butter. The sugar cookie was plain with an after taste but lacked sugar. No comment on the oatmeal. Also, the cookies were heavy, and I don't mean on flavor but heavy in weight. Total weight had to be about 4lbs. This review is simply to give insight to someone who is thinking about trying out these cookies the same way I did. I need a refund or new cookies. I love this place, always have to stop by when visiting family in Flossmoor. The first time I ever came in was during the holiday when they had a double chocolate cookie with peppermint frosting. That thing was phenomenal. The peanut butter plus cookie is probably my second favorite. What I really like about D’s cookies is that they aren’t overly sweet. Lots of them have a nice amount of salt to balance, which is just perfect. For the quality the prices aren’t bad either! Service is always...
