Wiley's Grill — Restaurant in Rich Township

The waitress we had was very kind; however, very slow. The food was not good at all. Our pretzel was pretty hard and the beer cheese was hardly warm. The mozzarella sticks were pretty gross (and we love mozzarella sticks!). Our sons kids meal came out with the entire plate pipping hot, being far too hot for any of us to even touch even the plate itself. His chicken nuggets were flavorless and tasted old. The plate the wings came on was also extremely hot to the touch, and the chicken tasted like it was either old or microwaved. No Bueno at all. Wings are somee of my favorite things to eat and, honestly, these were probably some of the worst I've had.

We paid almost $3 per glass of pop, but never received refills on two of the three. The water glasses were removed from our table during our meal for some reason, so we also couldn't drink water during our meal either. We would have requested refills of the pop, but the waitress never came back to ask us how our meal was, or to see if we need refills.

In addition to that, each item came out one at a time. Our meals did not come out together, which was really weird. One of our kids was completely done eating before the last person even received their food.

If all of that wasn't enough, we didn't receive a physical bill prior to paying; the waitress read the total of the bill right there at the table (which is something we keep private from our kids when we are out eating). You pay with handheld devices they carry AND you have to select a tip amount right there on the spot with them holding the device. A better system should really be figured out for that.

Overall, this was a complete bummer for us and absolutely not close to being worth the money we spent.

I genuinely hope they figure out how to improve the quality of their food. Bar food or not, it was well below any standard of bar...

We have been to Wiley’s probably 4-5 times since we moved to the area at the start of this year. We kept coming back because the food is good and the service was always warm. We just left an impromptu late lunch very quickly because it was not a pleasant experience. Our server immediately asked for our drink order after seating us, and then did not come back for 10-15 minutes after asking for some time, which she spent texting behind the bar.

We are patient people, and this is totally fine, but when she did come back, she was very pushy about us just ordering and blatantly ignored the few questions we tried to ask.

She did bring our appetizer, but left our entrees under the heat lamp, which another server ended up bringing to us. She did not come back to our table once, despite having time to go to other tables 3+ times and spend time behind the bar texting and taking selfies. We only got our bill because I went to the bar to ask for it, during which she did not say one word to me but continued to talk with another guest and coworker (meanwhile not answering my question about getting a box).

Upon looking at our bill it also looks like we were charged full price for our burgers, which was a surprise given the giant sign at the entrance stating Wednesday’s special are burgers. Not sure if we will come back given other local spots have more consistent and...

I’m giving 3 stars because I’ve had good experiences before but the current Friday evening bartender has no interest in serving the customers. Ordered a beer at the bar and she went ran my card without asking if I planned on having another. Finished it, and watched her chat up the wait staff, wander around, and generally avoid looking at the ONLY person at the bar, the guy with the empty beer glass in front of him. I had to interrupt her from looking busy to get a draft. She made it abundantly clear the I was a nuisance. I have never left a bad review before. She left at 6:00. This was 12/13/19.
