The jumbo shrimp was so worth the trip. While the young lady (the cook) was super friendly, the person operating the register was very rude and off-putting. He was taking our order and at the same time, taking phone orders instead of asking the caller to hold on. The cook tried to help but the register person would not let her and he ended up asking for our order a second time. My cousin ended up going off on him when he went back in to get the food because he ignored my cousin when he tried to confirm the contents of the order. I am not exaggerating... This is the best J&J Fish I've ever had! The catfish was amazing. It was fried and seasoned perfectly. The cuts of the fish are not thin. Just the right thickness. Each piece was a nice big size. The wings were fresh, well seasoned, and not over cooked and dark on the inside. I can not believe this was the first time I've ever visited. I called the order in and it just got ready when I arrived. Hot, fresh, well seasoned, juicy, and great tasting food. The prices were great too for a catfish and wing combo. When it comes to short order, fast food cooking, this particular J&J is a cut above! Service is always fast and friendly. They don't balk if you request extra sauce or something and they always get your order cooked to your specifications. If you request soft fried, you get soft friend, not hard burnt! They are consistently good. Their primary cashier is a very friendly lady who always smiles and thanks you. She never misses a greeting and a notice that I will be with you shortly if the line is queued up. Why is that so difficult for customer facing businesses these days?
