Mezza Cafe — Restaurant in Richardson

The food was pretty great. I got the tilapia plate, shawarma sandwich, and 3 beef tacos. The price did not seem to match on the menu but this was in my favor. I expected to pay $60-70 for the three meals and drinks but we ended up at $47. The food was really good, but the fish and shawarma did lack some salt however that can often be to taste. My 12-yr old brother really approved of both the tacos and the shawarma sandwich. The tacos were on par with some very good Mexican street stands I've tried. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to trying this local place. Says they are open for lunch on the huge sign outside but they don't open until 3pm. Went in at 330pm. Door unlocked, nobody there. Sign says to ring bell for service. I rang it 3 times no one came. Called them on the phone, no one answered. Late for work now so will have to get something else to take with me. Don't think I will be back. Also the place smelled of sewage. Probably not their fault, the city of Richardson is notorious for bad sewage problems but just something I noticed. I have eaten here many times but I feel that the quality and flavors of the food went up a notch or two the last year.

I had the dolma - delicious The appetizers are all so yummy. The street tacos and salsa are so flavorful and authentic. And Friday night I had the cheese quesadilla and I was not disappointed.

Will be eating here again soon.
