We just left here. The employees were tired and over it. I ordered a small salad and they didnāt have any lettuce for my salad left out...she was literally scraping the bottom of the container trying to get enough scraps of what was leftover to put on my salad. So I finally just asked her to leave the lettuce off and ended up with beans and rice in a container.. after we were to the end of the line they pulled out a new full container of lettuce? Like what? Why didnāt you do that before when there were ten lettuce shreds left? We asked for chips and queso and they were almost out of queso so the same girl was scraping the bottom trying to get enough and the cup wasnāt even half full, so we ask if they have salsa or if it comes with it and she says āyou asked for quesoā yeah, I did, but that was before I knew you were out of it and gonna give me the bottom of the barrel/not fill it even halfway.
The only one who seemed worth her weight was the petite blonde working the counter- trying to do her job and also keep all these employees on it and doing their job. Iām assuming sheās an assistant manager or manager and if not, she should be. Sheās the best employee you had working tonight.
This was my first restaurant experience after the covid lockdown and it was a massive let down. I get being over it on a holiday weekend, Iāve worked food before and I know itās tiring, and not easy... but if youāre out of something, just say youāre out-instead of scraping the bottom for scraps. Itās so unappealing and icky. And if you have more lettuce pull it out when you have an order for a salad when youāre out! You still had an hour ātil close and tons of customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm from California, this place is good, but something misses. I was coming off a 7 hour drive, was looking for something beyond that fast food taste so I decided this place.
It works like Chipotle, but the menu pictures seem off. The enchilada plate looks like it's two, but maybe it's one cut in half, anyway you only get one and it pales compared to the burrito drizzled with sauce so I guess the enchilada is for newbs that don't know you should always get the burrito.
The ordering experience was choppy. Their weren't stations so much as an array of things. My experience would be, "Hey you want this?" "Yes, I do." They add that thing to my meal, and then skip down the line, but I would want things that felt unrelated to the section skipped like grilled veggies next to salsas. They gave me everything I wanted but it just felt disjointed.
Anyway I gave this a 3/5, I was driving across the country, and I was looking for something not a burger and this was a pleasant experience. Food was good, felt like I got punished for picking the enchilada. If I had picked burrito I suspect the ordering experience would have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the WORST experience we have ever had at Costa Vida. When we first got there there was only a couple people in line. The service was so slow that we waited 35 minutes just to get our food. When we got to the register the man rang us up, the guy told us the total and it was more than it was suppose to be. We asked the guy before paying if that total was right because we had a coupon and should have received one of the meals for free. The guy told us he had entered it in already and so we paid. When the receipt was printed we discovered that the guy didnāt actually give us the deal and when we asked him about it he told us there was nothing he could do about it. Before leaving the register we also asked him about a cinnamon sugar tortilla we had purchased and didnāt ever get on our tray. They forgot to make it and We asked about it a few times and they still never made the cinnamon sugar tortilla which we had paid for. By the time we sat down to eat our food it was COLD, and we overpaid for food we didnāt even get. Itās safe to say we will never EVER visit this...
