Here is my honest review of Severo, located in Richfield, Utah. We went right in and were seated. The smell of wood smoke was initially pleasant, but after 15 minutes or so it started to burn our eyes and there was definitely a haze in the room. Went home with clothes smelling like campfire. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. They bring potato chips as an appetizer with a mild onion sauce. They really are just potato chips. You won’t get any bread, soup, or salad (unless you buy an appetizer salad for $12-$14). The entrees came out in about 20 minutes. Dish one was a Bucatini Ragu with a couple of pieces of bread. Tasted about the same as home spaghetti. Dish 2 was Shrimp Bucatini in lemon garlic butter. Quite a lot of oil and tastes ok but was not as flavorful as expected. Dish 3 was Annabella Chicken. Pretty darn tasty. Came with some creamy mashed potatoes and three strips of zucchini. Very flavorful but would have loved a few more potatoes. Dish 4 was Pork Sirloin with chokecherry chipotle sauce. It was very flavorful and the meat was cooked well. Came with the same mashed potatoes and zucchini. More mashed potatoes would have been nice. The pine nuts were nice. Overall, I think a good start, but left a little hungry. I recommend offering some bread or a house salad. This should be standard for a nice restaurant. Hopefully the ventilation system will take care of the very Smokey air. I recommend that you give it a try and see if you like it. I fully appreciate how the chef is pushing progressive and thoughtful dishes. I will return as well, but can I please have...

Atmosphere: The decor is a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy charm.
Service: The staff at Severo are nothing short of exemplary. Their attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine passion for providing an exceptional dining experience make you feel like a valued guest from start to finish.
Food: The menu is a testament to creativity and quality. Every dish is meticulously crafted, from the tantalizing appetizers to the decadent desserts. The star of the evening in my opinion was the turkey. Brined to perfection and fall apart tender ready to pair with silky mashed potatoes. Other offerings were savory bread pudding, a unique interpretation for green bean casserole, vegetables in a creamy dill sauce, candied yams with a hint of orange and of course decadent thick gravy. This was all served buffet style. A truly wonderful Thanksgiving feast!
Overall: Severos is a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night out, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!
When Thanksgiving comes around again make sure to tell all your friends and family. Severo’s is worth traveling to from far and near😀 Not just for Thanksgiving but anytime you're after an exceptional...
Read moreThe restaurant was super cute! Atmosphere is great. I wanted to love it. The chicken pasta was so so. My husband had the ribeye…I have never seen him not finish a steak, but any part of his steak that touched the potato’s they served, he didn’t touch. He said the steak was prepared well but the potatoes soaked half of it and he could not finish it. I tried a bite to see what he was talking about and it had a strong taste, the waitress said it was cheese, maybe Parmesan, whatever it was, it was overdone. Also, waitress was nice but I was a server for years and to order a steak and not have her check until the end of the meal if it was prepared right was kind of weird. Her second check on us after serving our food was when we were basically done eating. She was great to refill drinks before that, but checking after you serve the food is a big deal. I feel bad leaving a bad review, but it’s my birthday and we wanted to give this a chance….and it was not somewhere we would go again. $65 for a steak and $32 for very average pasta, the people that walked in and chose not to stay made the...
