WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!! When we got there the waitress was RUDE! She took our order and we always get the same thing, chicken tenders, fries with gravy and applesauce. She brought us our applesauce first but no silverware. Then she came out with a tray full of food and went table to table asking if that's what they ordered and then just stood in the middle and went in circles trying to figure out who it belonged to. She did that with the next set of food as well. Then we heard the cook call her because another order was up(it was ours). It sat on the order table for 10 mins before it was brought to us. When it finally got to us, the chicken tenders were BURNT, and the fries were all shriveled up and nothing but skin. When we asked about it she told me that's how they're supposed to look. We told her it's NEVER looked like that. She got an attitude and started running her mouth about us to the cook. We demanded that we just pay for our drinks and they could keep the nasty food. So the waitress got our check and slammed it on the table and rolled her eyes! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING THERE!!!!!! NOT WHAT THEY...

The staff should get 5 stars but the rest of it… negative. Came here to eat on vacation and wish we’d gone to chilis instead.

It was boiling hot in there. One of the staff told me it’s because the owner yelled at them to keep it 72 degrees. Which it is not. It was cooler outside at 84 than inside.

The workers were sweating visibly and very exhausted but still so kind. The owner should be ashamed of himself! He doesn’t work in there- so he shouldn’t get a say. Not to mention the foodborne pathogens that grow in that kind of heat.

My mom was served a chicken sandwich that had a half green tomato and the chips I had were so salty they were inedible. My husbands tossed salad was pathetic and tiny at a high price! The breast was well seasoned on my moms sandwich and cooked well and my wrap was mediocre. The lack of quality is not due to the kitchen staff. Due to the ingredients they were forced to use.

There is no kids menu! The menu doesn’t tell you exactly what is on the sandwich or wrap.

The bathrooms were dirty and in disrepair.

If you want to charge insanely high prices at least provide a...

My mom had me over for homemade coconut cream pie that she bought from here and it was amazing. I was going to be making a trip to Johnstown and decided to call ahead to see if they had a whole pie available to purchase and they assured me they had one and took my name and asked what time I would be there. I arrived to pick up my pie and paid $12.50. When I opened the box that had there sticker on it and it was a Marie Callenders coconut cream pie from Walmart which sells for $5.97. I told my mom about it and I took the pie to her and she called them and told them that this is not your homemade coconut cream pie and they said we were out of coconut cream pie and that was a substitute. Never once did they mention that they were out of pie and they had to substitute it for a frozen pie i could have purchased at walmart myself for much less money or I would have never purchased the pie. Lesson learned: Always check what you buy because people today will take advantage of anyone they can....

Today we are back in Johnstown to check out The Corner Coffee Shoppe on Scalp Avenue. This is a classic diner that has been serving the Johnstown community for over 50 years. Had a great experience. The atmosphere was really cool. Staff was very friendly. The food was also delicious. I ordered a Cup of Homemade Chili and a Grilled Reuben Sandwich. My favorite part was the Ruben Sandwich. You can really taste the flavors of the corned beef & Sauerkraut. 📍 810 Scalp Ave, Johnstown, PA 15904 #johnstownpa #localeats #pennsylvania #pafoodie #foodbloger #foodie

We ate there during Thunder in the Valley 2022. It was super busy. After being seated our waitress, Holly, quickly got our drink orders followed by our food orders. My husband had a normal breakfast of eggs, toast and sausage. I had their lobster bisque soup and a side salad. He said his breakfast was good. My lobster bisque soup was delicious, although I would like to have found some chunks of lobster in it. But it came out creamy and very hot which is how I like my soup. The salad was a normal side salad with just iceberg lettuce, tomato, and cucumbers. We were each brought a pot of coffee because I was drinking decaf and he had regular. That works out well in a restaurant that is as busy as they were because you do not have to wait for coffee. To sum it up once we were seated the order was taken quickly, the food came fast, we had a good service from Holly; everything was good including the price! We would return again.

Went here for dinner before football game. Order the veal dinner and on the menuIt says it comes with two sides. However, they only say that the two sides are the spaghetti and the side salad. So the menu is misleading. Furthermore, the spaghetti was watered down and the sauce had no flavor and the garlic bread had no garlic taste at all. The side Salad didn't even fill the bowl to the brim. It was about half full and the tomatoes inside the side. Salad still had the cores in them. The waitress was not seen at all, except when I had to go up to the counter, to get my own water from the hostess. And then she came out from the back. The only good thing of service that happened at this store today was the busboy was prompted removing my dirty dishes.
