Sadly, our last experience at Anthony’s was pretty disappointing.

My wife and I visited about a year ago and were blown away. My rockfish and her seafood medley were delicious, and they were very accommodating with her food allergies. They allowed her to swap pasta for rice even though the particular item didn’t technically have a GF option. The view from the restaurant and the ambiance inside is nice. The complimentary sourdough bread is very good.

The almond rice was incredible. We both wanted to return partly because we couldn’t get that rice off our minds! This recipe is genius.

Based on that visit alone I would’ve given this place 5 stars.

And taking into account the fact that we had an amazing experience last time and did NOT leave a review at that time, I’m sure most people’s experiences are closer to our first one than our recent one.

But, we came in for a date last week and took advantage of a seemingly awesome deal for a 3 course dinner, and were disappointed on multiple levels.

Our appetizers tasted very good — the clam chowder and the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was unconventional, but good nonetheless. It included a Cole slaw of some kind which was somewhat disappointing considering my wife had just told the waitress she was unable to eat anything with vegetables of any kind, minus rice and potatoes. They were accommodating with switching the vegetables on her entree, but didn’t mention the fact that this shrimp cocktail came with an unexpected serving of coleslaw topped with the shrimp. No big deal, she was able to just eat the shrimp, which were tender and flavorful.

She also ordered oysters which they forgot about until our entrees had come. Not a big deal. When they came, they were good.

Our entrees were simply put, bad.

I ordered a salmon and shrimp “duet”, supposedly with a lemon butter, with the salmon ordered medium. It came beyond well done. Very dry, and with almost no seasoning. Couldn’t taste any lemon butter. Even after squeezing the lemon that came with it, it was almost inedible. The shrimp were also overcooked. It came with asparagus which was okay but also unseasoned.

My wife ordered a top sirloin. We know our beef cuts, our expectations weren’t too high, she ordered it medium. It came medium well, but with only about 5% of the middle being medium well. There was a thick grey band around the inside edges and char but not an even sear on the outside. Very tough, and under seasoned on the inside though the outside had a rub that was very good.

The rice, which came with both of our entrees, was disappointing as well. The rice itself was perfectly cooked, but under seasoned and bland. Something about the almonds and raisins was different this time too, and it had barely any flavor or textural variety compared with the last time.

The dessert, a chocolate mousse, was amazing but we both got the same thing and mine was significantly more flavorful than hers. Not sure what’s going on there.

Overall, apparently this place is a 5-star hit or a miss, and with it costing $100 with limited time deals and $~135 without(after tip), I’m not sure we will be...

What a horrible experience my family had on Nov 11 (7:30 pm). Our family had suffered a very difficult time, removing our son, brother, grandson, and newphew, off life support just that eve, about 45 mins prior. We wanted to join together and sit and share a meal. First off, my great-niece had a "vertical" ID (WA DL) and we were told it was company to not accept as valid ID. She had turned 21 on March 5, 2024, but that didn't matter to anyone. So be it, we ordered our meal after they made us leave the bar area table they'd set up for us. We ordered steak, lobster, and various othe menu items. I will say my fried oysters were amazing (they always are there). I could NOT eat my steak. It was so tough I couldn't cut it and just left it on my plate. This is the third time I've not been able to eat my sirloin steak I've ordered there. It is dangerous actually because if you take a bite you cannot chew it, so you spit it out or swallow it whole. Very bad. Finally, when my great niece took a sip of my niece's chocolate martini a large man came racing over and screamed at her that she could not do that. I was taken back he would speak to her in the tone he used, and again, she had valid ID. Your "ompany policy" to not honor vertical ID is beyond ridiculous and inappropriate. How dare you think we would try to present false ID, or whatever your reason is. We will tell everyone we know not to go to your establishment for this reason. How we were treated was rude, embarrassing, and an end to a most upsetting time in our lives. You lost five customers that night. I will NEVER go back, and either will any of my...

My husband and I went out for date night. We arrived and had to wait about 5-10 minutes for our table, no big deal. We sat in the lobby and waited while talking about the amazing fireplace. The whole time we are masked up and enjoying each other's company. The hostess escorted us to our table where we sat down and stayed for the next two and a half hours. The waiter was amazing. Very polite, well mannered, and knowledgeable about the menu. The dinner itself was great. My issue came after we have paid, and were on our way out. I stopped by the hostess desk and asked where the restroom was. The hostess pointed me in the right direction and then proceeded to stop me. She said I could not use the facilities unless I had on a "real face masks". My mask is sheer, tulle to be exact. You see I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask at all. However, I found this specific mask because it allows me to be within compliance of state mandates, while still allowing me to intake enough Oxygen and appeasing nervous individuals. I was well within state rules to be in the restaurant wearing the face masks I had on. Your hostess may not like it, but it does NOT give her permission or an excuse, from allowing a paying customer access to facilities until her own demands are met. I am appalled by the treatment I received at the end of my experience by the hostess. I think next time we will skip Anthony's and go anywhere else. We ended up at Kimo's, great service, good drinks, no disrespectful host, and I was allowed to use their restroom. Thank you Kimo's for providing services Anthony's was...

I stopped in for dinner with some work colleagues while traveling and was blown away with the experience! Starting right away when we walked in we were greeted in a kind and friendly manner. The restaurant itself is clean and the decor is fitting for a seafood place. The entry/waiting area has a nice fireplace to relax by if you have to wait. The view…wow. Such an awesome view to sit and watch the sun go down over the water. Once we got seated our waiter, Jonathan (awesome name!) came by and took our drink orders. He also did a great job answering our numerous questions (it was the first time visiting for all of us). Every step of the dinner was more delicious than the last. We started with some oysters and they were fantastic! For my entree I had the trout and it was amazing! One of my colleagues had the rockfish and found it delicious. Another colleague ordered the surf and turf. He said the scallops were some of the best he had ever had. Unfortunately his steak was cooked a bit more than he liked, but Jonathan immediately took care of it and had a new steak ordered. It was prepared very quickly and was exactly to the temperature requested. My colleague also found this delicious! (p.s. Jonathan said we could keep the other steak and I’m not ashamed to admit that I ate it…and it was delicious also!) Finally came desert, the melting chocolate cake. It was truly amazing, delicious, scrumptious, etc. if you are in the area I would highly recommend a visit to Anthony’s!

I’m from out of state. After waiting about 10 mins for the waiter to even come to the table, all I wanted was some wine and fresh oysters. Not a big ask from a seafood restaurant. The oysters were $5/each I ordered a dozen, not cheap. I ate the first one and got a mouthful of broken shell. It was like a mouthful of glass. I thought it must be a fluke, so I tried another one. Same thing. They were so poorly shucked that each one was filled with broken shell. After trying to pick around the broken pieces, I gave up after the fourth oyster. It was such an unpleasant experience. The waiter and manager had the attitude of irritation as though me not wanting to eat broken oyster shells was somehow a personal offense to them. They asked if I wanted to order something else and looking at the steep prices compared to their inability to shuck an oyster, I figured it was probably not going to get any better. I left hungry and after reading others reviews, I made the right decision to leave. The picture is what I pulled from my mouth from ONE oyster.

Took my son in for lunch. Greg was our server and did a great job anticipating our needs this afternoon all while training a new employee. Bread was perfectly sliced into 4 thin pieces from the middle of the loaf with a piece of butter and a small thyme garnish. My son had the kids salmon and fries and absolutely destroyed it on all accounts being 18 months old he can be a little particular about what he enjoys eating so it speaks volumes to the chefs who prepared his salmon perfectly. I had the sockeye salmon plank with peach nectarine salsa, it was served with basmati rice and a green bean corn onion and red pepper Succotash. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the peach nectarine salsa paired so nicely with it. Since my son did such a great job with his lunch we decided it would be in our best interest to try the new peach slump Anthony's is featuring! It brought me back to my childhood reminding me of having my grandmothers peach cobbler in Oklahoma. To say the least the peach slump is incredible! Amazing lunch!
