This has to be the BEST Japanese food I've had in the USA so far. I ordered the Chicken Karaage appetizer first. Deliciously tender chicken bites in a very unique batter fried up to golden perfection. The overall taste was very interesting, not at all floury but...sort of sweet and possibly floral. It was outstanding. And don't get me started on the spicy mayo it came with. Absolutely fantastic.
For my entree I ordered the beef curry plate which was pieced of beef in a curry sauce wifh carrots, potatoes and onions served with a healthy portion of white rice. Again, outstanding. The absolute perfect meal after a rough day, or if you're cold or not feeling well.
Interior is very cozy and japanese-esque with the small and intimate seating arrangements. Lovely moody music playing throughout. I didn't catch my server's name but he was one of the quickest and most attentive I've had in a while. Well done all around to this place! If only I lived in the area I'd be eating there a few...
Read moreI would have loved to have rated this higher, as the food was delicious. However my ending experience with them made me not want to trust them or go back.
A friend and I had our meal, and it was delicious. Then, we walk up to the counter as we had not yet gotten our checks. We had told the waitress that we wanted to pay separately. Then, my friend and I both paid for our seperate meals. Feeling a bit funny we called her bank to check the statement and the larger payment had in fact gone through. So, we go back in. But they argue that it didn’t go through, even though we had the bank statement saying it did. So we are just going to dispute it with her bank....
Read moreI've been here before but they've rebranded and have new items on the menu. It doesn't look like they have their bento boxes anymore but I may have just missed it. I was so elated to discover that they have Takoyaki because I have been craving it and had to go to Japan to eat one! Their Takoyaki was SOOOO good. It was $9 for 5 pieces. We had it for appetizer and the California roll which was $6+ for 8 pieces. My husband had their spicy miso ramen and added egg and I had the pork belly on rice. I was SO full but could not leave without getting their tiramisu. Realized it had to be to-go and that's what we did. Their to-go plasticwares were also nice. Overall, I think we paid around $61-ish including taxes. We ordered too much from excitement but it was...
