Joe's Italian Grill and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Richmond

this place is not great. ordered pizza magherita with extra mozz slices. went to pick it up and the box was not as warm as i expected a fresh pizza to be. i only live literally around the corner and picked it ip on time, so that was strange.

got home and opened the box to a travesty of a pie. it was entirely cold, seemed like it had been sitting for hours. cheese was hard but had been melted at one point. what seemed to be a can of diced tomatoes was dumped on top of it, along with the juice. so not only was the pizza cold and cheese congealed, it was soaking wet in the center.

tried to save this “pizza” by heating it in the oven, but only the crust would come out of the box. couldn’t lift a slice at all because it was so wet.

this was not at all a pizza magherita and nothing like what they advertise. the first time i came here in 2020 was a great experience, great food, friendly staff. not sure what has happened since then but unless you are getting something that is pre-frozen and fried like mozz sticks or fried ravioli, hard...

Ordered a chicken philly, just let me say that the grilled onions that I asked for was cut sooo big I thought I was eating a section of a whole onion. I paid extra for jalapeños, only got about 4 on one side of the sandwich & to top it off the dude @ the register was NOT customer friendly at ALL!! You try to support the business in the community & I feel they think you can be served ANYTHING! Wrong, I truly started to take the ride to Angelo’s up on Midl. Turnpike but really didn’t feel like riding that far, I won’t let that happen again, I’ll take that ride because I know I will get the BOMB Chicken Philly! I went and order a large pepperoni, a Stromboli, a veal parm. And lasagna..I was very upset the only thing worth eating was the Stromboli..my veal parm.was a hard piece of what looked to be a processed steak patty with sauce thrown on top it was tough and nasty..my lasagna was hard noodles looked like they reheated it there was barely any cheese...I'm very upset with my meal I spent over $50 on our meal, and was very unsatisfied!!! I went in on false pretences because I've order the lasagna before and it was delicious, I'm not sure what happened at this particular visit but it disappointed me highly..and the fact I came all the way from Jefferson Davis highway made me feel I wasted my time...
