I think the aesthetic is Bourbon Street dive bar. They use folding tables and chairs for lunchtime, so it's definitely not the best scene if you're looking for a touch of elegance with your meal, but the jambalaya was good with a touch of Cajun heat (I personally would like a bit more of the meats, but it was okay) and the side of fries with garlic and rosemary was a generous basket with lots of seasoning. My friend got a bourbon chicken po'boy which she enjoyed. It wasn't so overstuffed that she couldn't pick it up, which she appreciated. The beer selection is varied and fun, and we loved the eclectic music selection that was playing.

It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But I loved it! We went on Fat Tuesday, and they had a drag show and great drink specials. We had already eaten, so I can't comment on the food. It was packed, so understandably, service was a tad slow. The staff were are friendly, and the dancers were really good, funny too. I know not everyone is a fan of drag shows, but I personally love them. This was my first time there, but I would go again. I don't go to bars very often, and I tend to like smaller bars, so this was my cup of tea. They also have a nice outdoor patio area with corn hole, heaters, etc.

My absolute favorite bar in Richmond. The owners are great people, the patrons are very friendly, and they have a variety of different themes and entertainment to keep you coming back Drag shows, karaoke, theme nights, and vinyl nights all bring a variety of people in. You’d be hard pressed to find a day that doesn’t appeal to you. Be warned, the drinks are strong. That’s a good thing but it’s something that you need to know before coming here.

Had my car towed from their parking lot as I sat in their restaurant eating for two hours. According to the owner they aren’t getting along with their neighboring businesses (both great places) and so they have hired guys to watch their lots and call in tows. They managed to miss seeing me physically park my car, get out, and walk inside and eat for two hours in their business. Not to mention my sister drove up and parked next to me and walked in with me and her car was not towed.

The owner was completely shady about it, gave half answers, accused me of going to Crossroads even after his own waiter confirmed I had been inside eating for the past two hours. Then eventually he said he was “making it up to me by having them bring my car back.” The car he stole. Oh how kind of him.

He then went back inside and hung out at the bar while I waited outside for my car to be returned. After it never shows, I go find him and ask him where my car is. He calls the tow guy again and says he’ll be here in 5mins. - not true. Tow guy eventually shows up without my car. 30 min. later, I get my car by driving with my sister to the tow-truck lot. The tow truck driver sees me arrive and starts to drive off. I stop him and ask for paperwork and he says he doesn’t have to give me anything and drives off. Left me in front of his business without even checking the car out. UNBELIEVABLE!

Worst $20 meal I have ever had. And the lame, super callous owner didn’t even offer to reimburse me that! This place is just not cool. The neighboring businesses are where it’s at. The nice waiter should go work for them instead. I was born and raised in Louisiana and this owner’s attempt at cultural appropriation is a far cry from the actual warm, loving and fun culture of the...

I didn’t even want to put one star here but that was the only way I can write a review this is a zero star diner. worst diner ever me and my 2 friends went in there to eat around 2 am the waitresses were all trashy and rude we sat ourselves. Than we finally got to order our food me and one of my friends got French toast with eggs and bacon and her husband got an Italian sausage with fries. The Fries were white didn’t even look cooked so he decided to try to bite into the sausage and it was raw. We told the waitress the sausage was not cooked all the way and he said he just wants his bill, So we waited and waited and next thing you know another customer was looking towards the kitchen and the cook back there was licking his fingers. Half the waitresses were drunk and so was ours. Instead of bringing the bill back she brought back the sausage that he bit off and she said she just threw it in the deep fryer after that we got instantly sick and I went to the bathroom vomit was all on the floor Then my friends wife approach the waitress in regards to her bringing back him the same sausage he bit off of in the same plate with the cold fries and the same ketchup he put on it. Only thing she could say is you said it wasn’t cooked all the way so the other waitress stepped in and said the bill was on her and I said no the health department is on y’all the worst experience ever and we all woke up sick and food poisoning the eggs must’ve got us but the sausage got him just disgusting this place needs to...

Cold, Dark and Limited.

We are locals and wanted to try out their Sunday brunch. Aside from it being an exceptionally cold day, the inside felt colder. I know they just opened but i would recommend that focusing on some basic stuff before opening up for brunch. Here is our take.

Very limited brunch menu, really no kid friendly option (it would be nice if they had kid friendly cups...like plastic vs. glass) The beignets were good but all were not thoroughly cooked so in the middle was raw dough, I told the manager this as we left. The pimento cheese was good but served with cheap bread that crumbled in your hands. The decor is not good in my opionion, it is very dark and uninviting. We went to New Orleans last year and loved it, this place has none of the warmth and community feel that you would find at a local new orleans place eatery The mop and bucket were left out so I basically sat there and looked it the entire time And lastly the TV was playing Saved by the Bell, I love revisiting my youth but if this place is suppose "bring you to new orleans" can either the music or video reflect it.

For now I would avoid until they have worked...
