We were so excited to see a Johnny's Pizza House in our area. We got a small Sweep the Kitchen and small pick your own with Andouille sausage, Pepperoni, Ham and Pork Sausage. We also added a five piece wing with Sweet and Tangy sauce. The Sweep the Kitchen had thick crust which could use a little more butter or oil to make it excellent in my opinion. It was piled high with toppings and full of flavor. I would definitely get it again but not with the thick crust. The pick your own had thin crust which was way better than the thick crust. There was no skimping on the toppings here either. The wings were huge just the way I like them and there was plenty of sauce on them. I thought they were fine just like they were but my wife likes hers a little more crispy. If you are like her just ask them to run them twice through the cooker. The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is the fact that no one had on gloves in the kitchen. Being older and having worked in food service in the past when not wearing gloves was common in kitchens it didn't bother me as much as it did my wife. But, actually seeing bare hands touching unprepared and cooked foods did take me back for a moment. I would go back although my wife said she would not. Overall the food was good and the workers were very nice and pleasant so give them a shot if you're in the area and aren't turned off by bare hands touching your food before or after...
Read moreThere is another review on here that says they wished the quality was still the same as when it first opened. That review is spot on! At least we aren't the only ones who have noticed. This place has really gone downhill with their quality. It's a sad imitation of the original Johnny's Pizza Houses from Louisiana. Here is a small example shown in the pics, but we have plenty more examples. We always order extra sauce. It's clearly shown on the ticket. Maybe they just dont hire people who can read tickets..? Not only do they not do they not give extra sauce, ever, there is barely any sauce on it at all (i removed the topings to show how sad and dry it is). It's like they think "extra sauce" means "light sauce" or something. It is beyond ridiculous how much they skimp on ingredients...not just sauce. It's like this every single time, too. We literally get Johnny's 2-3x per week We are loyal, so we tolerated this for a few months, but have had enough. Do not waste your money at the knockoffs of the real Johnny's! Pizza Shack, Soulshine or even Dominos would give...
Read moreI ordered a thin crispy pepperoni power, hamburger, onion and jalapeños 9/10/24. The pizza was amazing!!! I’m not sure who made it that day but I will find out and only eat there when they are there. I turned around and ordered the exact same thing today and was on the complete other end of the spectrum…. Extremely disappointed!!! The pizza was no where near what I had the previous day. It wasn’t thin or crispy, so they remade it. The second one same thing wasn’t thin or crispy and instead of hamburger I got mushrooms and all she said to me was I’m sorry. You know what no ma’am I’m sorry that I didn’t get a refund on the first mess up. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years being consistent is the key to business. I will not return to this location until something is done about this situation. I love this pizza but I refuse to eat somewhere that can’t...
