My first experience at this restaurant and definitely will not be my last. The restaurant is clean and it is an open concept where you can see the chefs preparing your meal. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the falafels for appetizers which I loved. It had a nice creamy dipping sauce. Hot sauce is available on request. I also ordered the chicken kabob plate and a beef gyro. The chicken kabob plate was excellent. The meat was so tasty with great seasoning and the meat was tender and just perfect. With the plate came rice, hummus and salad. The gyro was very much enjoyed and came with seasoned fries. You have the option of picking your sides. Pita bread is also included. Great food presentation, food was just at the perfect temperature. For dessert I tried the baklava which was a hit!! So if you love baklava and have a sweet tooth, it is a must try. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!
REVIEW UPDATE: 6/3/2019: Been really disappointed with this restaurant for a while. The quality of the food has decreased and is not as flavorful as it used to be. The rice is usually well flavored and I got something that literally tasted like boiled plain rice. All the items are not as tasty as it used to be. Not worth it for the price point anymore. Hope they bring back the...
Read moreI came for lunch on a clear Monday. I was looking for a fresh Greek restaurant because, well, I enjoy processed American Mediterranean. LuLu Kabab is NOT that! I was welcomed to this quaint sequestered brick bistro by brass handle and Oakwood doors, leveled dressed tables, a kind youthful serviceman, and mild happy gibberish coming from consumer chewing mouths; I knew I was somewhere special. I could hear music renditions of oldies but goodies playing over speaker and was handed a simple easy-to-read menu. I ordered the hummus appetizer, lamb gyro and chicken gyro sandwich. Authentically amazing. One bite of the lamb and a double blink with bulging eyes followed! The chicken breast tasted like chicken breast! It….was….good! The sandwiches were both accompanied by, a mediocre over dressed salad, but I did I forget to mention the chicken and the lamb?!? It was good. I drank water from a straw in a Coca Cola style cup with lemon, but did I forget to tell you about the chicken and the lamb?!?!? It was….. good! If you love processed Mediterranean, LuLu Kabab may not be for you. But, if your buds desire kind service, authentic food, and a place to call yours; the brass handle and Oakwood doors will...
Read moreAnother 5 star Tammie? Come on. Can it be that good? Yes. Yes it can. I passed this place on the way to get my windshield replaced. That was a nightmare. A review for another time but once I left the glass place I needed comfort food. I love kebab. A friend was married to an Iranian guy and I got hooked on kebab, basmati and warm flatbread. I go in prepared to break my no flour program but I saw the salads and realized that I wasn’t going to let the poor customer service experience at the glass place let me make bad choices.
I was greeted by the sweetest young lady who offered to make recs for me before she left for my tea. I ordered the Lulu Greek salad add chicken shwarma. I asked her to keep the pita bread. Insert me sobbing here. It was hard but I did it. Man was that salad phenomenal. Chicken breast that had a nice crust on it but was not dry. Crisp vegetables. A delicious oil and vinegar based dressing. So much food.
Excellent service. Very clean. Mediterranean music playing very low in the background.
I cannot wait to return and try kebab with warm pita, rice and hummus but today my blood sugar thanked me for the...
