Ralphie's Pizza — Restaurant in Ridgeland

Went about a month ago on a Friday night. I’ve missed NY pizza since I moved here. This didn’t deliver in my opinion. Our crust was burnt. Sauce and cheese were just ok. Dough wasn’t what I was used to. Our pizza took about 30 minutes. Fine. But we were done eating and my daughter’s pasta dish still wasn’t out. Took over an hour. Some excuse about how dinner tickets weren’t going through with the pizzas. So we were there like 2 hours. The pasta and sauce was not good. Still missing good pizza and Italian food. No where down here has delivered. I’ve pretty much tried everything in Bluffton / HH area.

UPDATE. I bumped up the rating. I went again recently. This was on a Monday so it was a little slower. The crust was much better as was the pizza overall. We tried the BBQ Spiedie. I thought it was very good. I still miss pizza from NY. Both Buffalo and Syracuse area , but this was good and the server was very nice. The pizza took a while but I didn’t mind because I was there talking with a friend. Which is good because I never felt rushed...

First visit. Food average. Service from Julian was outstanding. Ordered small calzone and some wings. Calzone was huge for a small order. Wife said it was OK. I ordered the wings with buffalo sauce. Wings are decent size. Skin crispy but meat dry. Buffalo sauce was sparse. Had to ask for additional sauce. I’ve noticed at two other restaurants the wings were identical. Crispy skin, dry meat and very little sauce. It may be my preference but I like the wings to be “wet”, almost swimming in sauce. If I don’t feel like I have to shower after eating wings there wasn’t enough sauce. That’s me!! Not crowded for a Friday around 5pm. Comfortable surroundings. Easy to talk. Friendly staff. Restroom clean. Back to the service. Julian was perfect. Thank you. Responsive, courteous, friendly and prompt. Checked all the boxes a customer could wish for. Because of Julian We will return. This restaurant is chock full of friendly, engaging, & energetic staff. The owner has always been on the premises when we have visited. He clearly strives to make each customer’s experience the best possible.

I’d like to recommend a server for you to request… but they are ALL such amazing people that you can’t go wrong.

I’ve enjoyed the chicken/ranch pizza, Buffalo pizza, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, antipasto salads, & dinner pasta meals. I’ve not been disappointed. Their sweet tea is perfection, in my opinion. 🤣 *It’s worth noting that I am ALWAYS impressed with how quickly my food is prepared.
