I tried their pizza a few times now and was always underwhelmed about what you get for the price, so I stopped going. However, after not having been there for a while and having received a gift card, I thought "why not".
It was worse this time. First of, there are simply not enough toppings. The whole pizza had large areas with zero sauce or toppings on it. Non at all! It was just dry, hard, baked dough. Embarrassing to say the least. Whoever in the kitchen decided that this was in any way acceptable should be removed from that area of the restaurant as they're clearly not able to perform the simple act of adding sauce and toppings. Of course I'm not sure if it's really their fault and not management's, since there are other reviews from the past where this was a problem. This makes me think that it's policy to skimp on toppings to save money. Secondly, the pizza was barely warm when I picked it up, this wasn't a huge deal to me at the time since I thought warming it up at home wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong, though, as putting it in the oven would have made it even dryer and harder than it already was. Overall it was bad pizza. I mean it when I say that I wish I'd just gone to Domino's. They sincerely make a better tasting pizza. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because I paid with a gift card and didn't lose any money. Considering the other great options within a few minutes drive of this location I'd recommend just going to Sal and Mookies or Lost Pizza Co. They have great pizza.
I added a pic of a slice of my pizza and one of what their website shows it should look like. The light brown areas on my slice are just untopped dough. Hard as a cracker. The stock picture clearly shows significantly more...
Read moreBeen about a year since we tried this place. Gave them another chance. Bottom line: STAY AWAY. Mediocre, incredibly expensive food and terrible service.
I honestly feel sorry for the owners. I know they are trying to survive a terrible economy in a high rent location but they just aren't doing things right.
A medium veggie pizza (5 toppings) with cauliflower crust was $24. Ridiculous. I was unaware that the scant dusting of green olives carried a $2 charge.
Another in our party had a "large" salad which included bacon and avacado per the menu. It was served with neither. A joke of a salad.
Another had French Dip sandwich. They said it was "ok".
Waitress dropped our food and water and forgot us. Had to go to the bar and beg for more water.
The cherry on top...the three of us had diarrhea immediately thereafter.
WILL. NOT. RETURN.
For my money...Pizza Shack or Sal & Mookie's.
Went to this place again due to a group of friends wanting to go there.
Considered the red beans and rice. Menu stated that it contains locally made Country Pleasin' smoked sausage so I ordered it.
The serving had FOUR THIN SLICES of sausage. It was the most cheaply made entrée. Very small and very cheap. Our friends were shocked and embarrassed they'd taken us there.

Read moreOur waitress was kind, and the food was pretty good, but I felt like they quietly slipped ridiculous extra charges on the bill. We ordered a large pizza that was listed as $28 on the menu. On the receipt, we were charged an additional $1 for cheddar, which was already in the description on the menu, and we didn’t ask for extra. The only thing we requested custom was to remove pineapple on one half of the pizza because my wife and I were sharing, and one of us doesn’t like pineapple on pizza. They charged us $3 to not put one of the ingredients on the pizza that originally came on the pizza and was built into the $28 cost! The receipt literally shows a line item labeled “no right half pineapple…$3” They save half a topping and charge the customer $3 extra?! Make it make sense! I don’t like going places where I feel like I’m going to get nickel and dimed over silly charges to inflate their costs. Used to enjoy going to soulshine but probably won’t anymore as long as they keep up...
