Sort of the spot to go to when you're trying to figure out where you're going. For me, the quintessential New Jersey diner. Mainly, longer than it should be menu, with many offerings, trying to revolve around a continental type of cuisine with random other offerings, probably based on the chef or owner's actual tastes. Not really sure. The food is good, as in served quickly, how you like it, though probably not very memorable. The place is clean, and generally has a comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere. We have been going to the Daily Treat since we moved into Ridgewood in 1979. It is the best go to place to eat if you're not looking for a "fancy place" to dine, just comfortable......always busy so you know the food is fresh..John, Demi & Gus are a nice a you can get! The help is always pleasant and very friendly!! The food is always fresh and the prices are reasonable...not inflated like some local pancake houses that serve such ridiculous sized pancakes you can't even finish. Oh and the lines to get into those places totally nuts waiting.......at the Daily Treat there is never more than a few minutes...

I’ve been bringing my special needs classes to The Daily Treat for many years, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. The staff are always incredibly kind, accommodating, and welcoming to our students. They consistently go out of their way to meet our students' needs—whether it’s offering separate checks, providing special plates, or just being extra patient and friendly.
