Le Pancake Cafe — Restaurant in Ridgewood

Large portions, good price. Food is good - varies from ok to good. I have ordered the burger a couple of times - portion is big. Hit or miss with the doneness - medium sometimes ends up being well done or if you try it modify it and say medium rare, it may come up rare, etc. Otherwise it is good as a burger. The french toasts are always awesome - 3 thick toasts done just right. Pancakes seem to be their specialty. I am not a pancake fan however so I have not had them here, but if I were going to eat pancakes, it would definitely be here. Their cranberry muffins are usually good. I typically leave with one to go for later. Their Fritatas are good as well depending which one you get. There are tons of varieties for the pancakes and fritatas. You will definitely have plenty of leftovers.

This place gets super busy on weekends.

Staff are not as attentive as I would like. They just do enough to get you seated and take your order and bring it out, but beyond that, there's nothing more. On weekends, maybe some of it is because they are busy, but I find even when they are not busy, good luck getting their attention for the basket of corn muffins or coffee refill or napkins. They go to the front register and either gab away or entertain themselves on their phones. They are however, nice and friendly...just...

Small cozy diner located in the business district in Ridgewood. Cash only so remember to hit the atm before heading over here or you'll be forced to use the one they have and pay fees. The menu is enormous and you might have a hard time narrowing down exactly what you want. However when you do decide, be prepared for a meal of epic proportions! My breakfast platter came with 3 eggs, a ton of bacon, ham, sausage, home fries AND pancakes. I could not finish it and my brother could barely finish his BLT so be prepared. The only gripe i have as mentioned in another review is that the home fried were bland. Add a little peppers and onions in it naaa mean!? I also had cherry pancakes which were pretty good but nothing out of this world. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend you go give it a shot, just make sure you go there hungry!

Came back after two years and the food and service is still great! Home fries tasted great, pancakes were awesome and the omelette was delicious! Decided to give max 5 stars! ...

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants to go to! Anything I've ever had here before (eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, ribs, chicken tenders, jumbo shrimp, fries, corn bread, and more) is absolutely perfect and could not be much better. Although the menu is extensive, and some may think it's overwhelming, anything picked will be the right choice! The food is absolutely fresh at all times (been there from 11am until 9pm) and has huge portions. This place is guaranteed to bring home leftovers unless you haven't eaten in three days! And on top of the food, the staff is wonderful. Always welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only warning here is that sometimes the wait for a table could be long. On a Saturday morning, depending on how many people are in the party, expect up to a half hour during prime time hours. Otherwise I've had a table of 8 with no problem. Again, if you haven't been here before, what are you waiting for!?!...
