Today I was happily delighted to discover we have a friendly corner store with great fresh food & coffee, welcoming small-town feel, best prices around, & comforting ambiance right here in Ridley. Upon a good friend (Rusty) giving me the heads up that I was missing out on local greatness, I had to investigate. Stef, the proprietor, instantly makes you feel light & calm from the second you walk in. That to me is the most important thing - being comfortable when you walk into any type of home, business, restaurant, etc, bc that's what really makes ppl wanna come back đ... ok so there's for sure some fun menu items, for example i cant get (scrapple + mozzarella) in a lot of places, kind of a rare combo maybe? But it's my fav -- in addition to the satisfying sandwich i had (made with intention and care ofc 𫶠- and the portions are generous) the caramel chocolate dream is fantasssticc. Lives up to its name - usu I'm into hot coffee even in summer, but glad I gave that lil icy treat a shot. Rumor has it bananas & Nutella go hand in hand at Mina's đ€ (as well they should!) so I'll def be back soon to discover this lol. Parking is a breeze, it's clean, food is great & fresh, plenty of menu options, but best of all, Stef really makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. Need more light shared in this world - and Mina's is def a place you'll feel it. Never felt rushed or unwelcome even tho I'd never been there before & was kinda unsure about what i wanted at first, and to be truly appreciated, treated like a person instead of a commodity can be rare these days, trust me - but one can feel genuine/sincere/authentic kindness in the atmosphere, which can't be faked - therefore I had to share with the world that on rare occasions there should be an option for 6 star reviews - this is one of them. To close this novel (great dining/coffee experiences & accepting, nonjudgemental people deserve a bit of benevolent rambling) thank you to Mina's for improving the neighborhood with a warm vibe & some great stuff to chow on while catching up on my Boy meets...
Read moreI stumbled upon Minas, A Hidden Gem You Need to Try, and left completely blown away. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and let me just sayâit was the best sandwich Iâve ever had in my life. You could taste the love and care in every bite. It wasnât just foodâit was comfort, soul, and homemade goodness all wrapped into one perfect bite.
What truly sets Minas apart, though, is the heart behind the place. The owner is an absolute powerhouseâa superhero mom and a business owner. We ended up chatting after I mentioned Iâm in nursing school, and we connected on such a deep level about maternity and maternal health complications. She was so open, real, and kind. I left not only full but inspired.
Minas is more than a cafĂ©âitâs an experience, a community, and a place that makes you feel seen and appreciated. I cannot recommend it enough. If you havenât been, youâre seriously missing out. Go. You wonât be disappointed.
P.S. Even the dog loved her!!! He canât wait to come back for that bacon...
Read moreDo you sit around lamenting that in this day and age, everything has been taken over by corporate overlords? That no matter where you go itâs all just homogenous shiny chain places bereft of any local feel? Well here you go. Here is an antidote, a rift in the corporate fabric. An adorable hole-in-the-wall spot run by one lady behind the counter who smiles and makes friendly conversation while slinging traditional breakfast food like it was still the old days. Is it fancy? Nope. Is it modern or trendy? Nope. Is it simple and yummy? Hells yes. Itâs like stepping into a Time Machine in all the right ways. I couldnât be happier that this place exists. Now get over there and do your part to make sure it...
