I guess because there are so many sub par Thai and Asian fusion restaurants around, this restaurant stands out for locals. We found it to be decent but not outstanding. Their fried basil chicken, which is suppose to be a specialty, was just ok. The chicken was too thin, stringy on some pieces, and the coating was honey sweet and not much other flavor to it. I have never fried basil leaves but they don't have any flavor, this dish would have been much better with some fresh basil. The curry dish was again, over sweet, without the wonderful complexity of flavors found in better Thai restaurants. It was also disappointing that there are no vegetables, aside from bell peppers, with the chicken curries. The sticky rice was perfectly cooked and very good. The Tom Yum soup was fine as well, but there again, lacking the nuance of flavor found in great Thai restaurants. I saw many orders of pad Thai at nearby tables, maybe the noodle dishes are the way to go? This place wasn't bad,...
Read moreI went w a couple girlfriends for lunch. I got crab Rangoon as an appetizer. They got wonton soup and spring rolls. All of it was delicious. As an entree, I got the Kua dish. It was the only one with wide noodles. Sooooo good. My friends enjoyed their food too. One got crab & shrimp fried rice, the other got the dish w the cellophane noodles and mushrooms. All the dishes had enough to take home for a second meal. It is all made from scratch and to your desired temperature, regarding spice. The actual restaurant is...quaint. it's small and clean. I don't think it would hold more than 30 ppl. The bathroom is a single and the door didn't lock for me. I just peed and prayed. Lol. Service was OK. Considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, the server seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. Food came out quickly tho. The lemon marscapone cake looked delicious, so I...
Read moreI love this place. The food is always consistent and absolutely delicious. I have never had an issue with an order and I order from here roundabout once a week. Portions are great too, I’m usually fed for like 2-3 days.
If you have been curious about tofu, try the tofu pad Thai. I’ve definitely come across tofu that has had a weird texture if it’s not cooked properly, but Vilma does it perfect every time.
If you’re curious about the Thai iced tea - try it out it’s so good. Similar to how chai teas are spiced, but it’s got a nice sweet creamy flavor. I love it!
If you’ve been curious about curry, the red curry is awesome. I’ve had it with chicken and tofu and they are both great.
But I’ll be real, i haven’t tried something from this restaurant that I didn’t love so take that what you will lol.
Price is very reasonable, hours are great, overall great restaurant. Thanks for...
