Worse experience ever coming here. If you are black and want to pay for your items then be followed and confronted at your vehicle in their parking lot being accused of stealing chips, THEN THIS MY FRIEND IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.
|Backstory|
I came into trip cold cuts ordered 3 sandwiches, placed a drink at the counter, the proceeded to my car to wait for food to be finished. I then reentered the establishment and grabbed 1 bag of chips and proceeded to pay at counter , I then told the nice cashier to ring me up for an additional bag of the same exact chips and told her I would grab them on my way out she said ok . Once everything was bagged I headed towards the door grabbed the chips then waved them in the air and said specifically âI got the chips thanksâ I then go to my car .
Now before pulling off I see an Asian guy coming from the backside of the building not running but power walking over to my vehicle , at this time I was also on the phone. He said âyou didnât pay for the chips you grabbed â I grabbed my bag and showed him I had 2 bags of chips which I paid for . He continued to insinuate I didnât pay and said â that I looked suspicious grabbing chips while walking out the door â and he was smiling like it was funny but to me â this is very embarrassing to think that I look like I could even want to steal chips . I then raised my voice and said â I paid for everything in my bag and that I told the cashier to ring me up for 1 more bag of chips and that I would grab them on the way out , I even mentioned waving them in the airâ he stood there looking dumbfounded so I then proceeded to get out the car and heâs saying now that he sees Iâm pissed âoh no Ill believe you its ok, and clearly he didnât cause he wouldnât have approached me in my personal space at my vehicle .
Once I got back in the store I proceeded to cash register and there were other customers in the store and aloud asked her â did she ring me up for 2 bags of chips in total and that I said I would grab on my way outâ the nice cashier said yes and yes . The Asian guy then stood there looking stupid, I then demanded an apology which he did however he should have apologized as soon as the cashier stated I paid I shouldnât have had to ask him for that specially after being embarrassed like a petty thief when Iâm indeed an actual BUSINESS OWNER . I always went here for sandwiches however today was my last day. This incident could have totally gone a different route and who knows I could have been hurt or attacked based of the Asian guys wrong accusations. An to top it all off I get home to eat my sandwhich and the Kaiser roll was hard , so I guess you can say being accused of petty theft for 10 minutes wasnât worth it . So to my local African...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! If I could score a 0 I would. I went there because Iâve lived here in Delco my whole life and wanted to try something new. I walk in not to be greeted like the other people in the store weâre. I then proceeded to the deli where this old lady looked like she was having a rough day. I was very polite and cheerful. She asked me if I needed anything and in total I got 5 different items. After each item I ordered was a huge sighâŚ.. and eye roll! Once she got to the 4th one she said â is this finally the last one?!â I said one more thing please. After she finished I walked over to check out to the woman whoâs been staring at me this whole time. I start checking out and notice that she charged me twice for only one item of purchase which was probably a $12.99 discrepancy. Not much but still big mistake. I start looking through the items on the counter and show her that she over charged me for an item. She then sighs and eye rolls and removes an item. She doesnât tell me sorry or that it was a mistake just took it off. I shouldâve just left all the items that I was going to buy on the counter but I didnât. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE AGAIN!!!!! Low key I assume those two...
Read moreI have been a patron of Trio's for well over a decade.
Tonight I ordered two Italian hoagies with sweet peppers, one with no onions. This has been my standing order for quite some time but, tonight, it consisted of two slices of meat on each half of the hoagie, iceberg lettuce filling the majority of the roll and onions on both.
I called to offer my surprise at the difference in the hoagies and was told that, in terms of the meat they had, "Been that way since before I started working here."
The person on the phone was unwilling to offer any recognition of the stark difference in the product from what I have regularly experienced over many, many years, nor did he make any offer to correct my order with the usual, high quality hoagies that I have come to expect.
This response finds me sad to have to remove this business from those that I will now look to get hoagies from in the...
