Ten years ago, I needed a new desktop PC. Tired of Big Box offerings, which came pre-loaded with software I would never use, I visited the small storefront of PC Support Services in Milmont Park, where I met the owner, Frank. I described what I wanted and listened as Frank explained the various options available to me. Frank never tried to upsell a feature or software, rather he built the machine to my specs. Over the years, whatever small problem I had, Frank dealt with it expeditiously. Fast forward to 2022, and I noted little twerks starting to rear their ugly heads. It was then I remembered the motherboard was 10 YO â and decided to ask Frank to build a new desktop machine before my existing one completely failed. After years of friendship, Frank knew my standing specs -- âbigger, faster, betterâ -- and thatâs exactly what he built. Always conscious of pricing and consumer costs, especially in this economy, Frank never tried to upsell me. Rather, he would caution that perhaps I was going too âbigger, faster, betterâ â but the heart wants what it wants. In the end, I am extremely happy with the finished product. I am especially pleased that I also bought the wireless mouse and keyboard. How nice not to be tethered to my home workstation. It is so refreshing to deal with a merchant who is equally as concerned about my purse strings as I am. It is also reassuring to have the dedicated âservice after the saleâ that Frank always provides. Whether you seek a desktop, laptop, printer or any peripheral equipment, you should make your first stop PC...
Read moreI don't even know where to start with the amazing level of customer service with this great company. Frank and Christina are awesome. I spilled some water on my touch pad, which stopped working. I called PC Support and Chris told me I could bring my computer in ASAP. It turned out my touch pad was the least of my problems, as my hard drive was failing and having not done a back up in some time there was no guarantee of getting all of my files back if we swapped out the drive. Yes, I know, totally on me! Thus ensued 48 hours of panic on my part. Did I say PANIC? I mean full on meltdown of panic, not to mention I was leaving town days later for an extended time. This all went down, of course, on a Friday afternoon when Frank is wrapping up for the week. But Frank troubleshot the problems, swapped out my drive, and did it all with clear communication and care. There is a reason they are "Best in Delco" year after year....
Read moreMy computer stopped working. I tried to troubleshoot the issues for two days. You know you can fix most things with a little google search. Nevertheless, when all my tries had been done, I knew I had to take my computer in to see what was really going on. So the next issue was where to go? I didn't want to go to the big box stores, where most likely they would over charge me, keep my computer for however long they wanted, and potentially ruin my day with a bad communication. Thankfully, that wasn't my only option to fix my computer. A quick google search in my area showed that there was a repair shop open on a Saturday till 8pm? weird. This "shop" is a little spot in the middle of bustling Booth's Corner. Bare bones (one guy)...lowers the cost. He diagnosed the computer for free. I already kinda knew that my hard drive was fried. He was able to fix it in 3 hours while I walked around Booth's Corner at a very...
