Casa De Adobe — Restaurant in Rio Grande City

I absolutely love this restaurant! I’ve been several times and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. My go-to order is the ribeye with asparagus and chili, and occasionally, the loaded sweet potato — all consistently delicious. The grilled shrimp Alfredo and orange chicken are also great choices.

The cornbread and bread rolls with cinnamon butter are a nice touch and always fresh. Their selection of alcoholic beverages is solid as well — definitely worth trying.

If I had to give one small piece of feedback, it’s that the steak doneness can be inconsistent at times — but overall, the quality and flavor are still great, and the staff has always been willing to make it right when asked.

The service is consistently friendly and patient, and the overall vibe is calm and welcoming. With music playing softly in the background, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I’ve never had a serious complaint — I highly recommend...

Quickly sat down, server Andres took 5 minutes to show up. While showing up with plates and utensils, he doesn’t say anything like “ I’ll be right with you, or any drinks”. So we wait another 5 minutes until I called another server who’s name I didn’t get to help us out with drinks since he never said anything .

She helps and gives him the order of drinks and appetizers, he quickly comes rights out , and has the drinks and appetizers. He takes our order . Food takes 15 or maybe 20 minutes to come out. Food comes out but he takes at least 10 minutes after that to check up on us , there could’ve been a problem or needing a refill but thank God we were fine and we are very kind people.

Place is very nice, no doubt about that. ( I'm sure you could tell by all the pictures people upload ) also, the waitress was very friendly.. as as for the food, I ordered the country fried steak (1/2), but turned out very chewy and had an odd flavor. I couldn't eat past the first bite, so I had the plate removed from the table. Mashed potato was a bit cold, and the sweet tea was lacking flavor. I had to order a beer to wash it all down. If you want the positive side of this restaurant, they have the 22oz. glass of beers for $3.75! 👍 Everything else is overpriced. I'm sure other items on the menu are ok, but ill give it 3 stars...
