Iguanas Mexican Grill — Restaurant in River View Township

Another rainy day in MO! Caught a movie then decided to stop at Iguanas for a bite. Nice atmosphere . Clean restaurant, bathrooms and a friendly staff. The queso was a little bland (added Cholula and a bit of salsa to add some bite). I like my salsa a bit spicier but the entrees were tasty.

My husband ordered the burritos (1 chicken 1 beef) and enjoyed the chicken more than the beef. I think he was expecting shredded beef but it was more of a ground beef. The chicken was very flavorful and a nice portion size.

I had the cheese enchiladas which were good/average (again I like more spice) but the rice was delicious. Portions were appropriate for the cost.

In addition to dinner we both ordered drinks. My husband ordered the Pinapple Margarita which he really enjoyed but I ordered the Black Panther (with sugar on the rim) which was OUTSTANDING!! And the drinks were gigantic 😋 Well worth the price. I would recommend certainly Iguanas for a nice...

I heard and read good reviews of this place. We decided to go in for lunch. Finding a parking spot was ridiculous. Hard to believe with 4 patrons inside the entire front parking was full and overflow parking was near full too.... We got inside and had to wait to be seated and they weren't that busy. The complimentary chips and salsa arrived fairly quick and we were left waiting for a server. 10 minutes after being seated the server came (who was also the person seating people which is why there was a wait I suppose because people came in after we did) we ordered, food got there quickly and the food was bland, just no flavor and uninspired. The server never came back to check on us until we were ready for our check. We never were asked if we wanted a refill on our empty drinks. After this experience, We won't...

Food is great but Service is lacking. Bathroom was clean and so was our table but the 2 of the menus were dirty (food stuck on & inside them) and the floor was dirty. Our table was one of maybe 3 there for dinner service and our waiter disappeared several times, our food was served separately instead of together or a few minutes apart and we sat & waited for our bill and watched the staff just socialize until my husband got mad and walked up to the counter asking for a box & check (good 10minutes or so) Also as we were walking in, another couple was leaving complaining about moldy food and same services issues as ours.
