The Bridal Shoppe — Local services in River View Township

I am not a dress girl, and had a lot of anxiety about wedding dress shopping! I found a style I liked and headed right over to Google to find a shop that would have something like it. A few places popped up, so I went down the line from store to store. When looking at other stores, I was instantly overwhelmed they were hard to navigate and wouldn’t show any of the inventory or the price ranges. With my last bit of hope, I clicked on The Bridal Shoppe. As soon as the page loaded, I was able to find what I had been searching for! Numerous dress options, the prices, and all the details of the dresses! After finding several I loved and the comfort they were in my budget, I called and made an appointment! I spoke with Amy, who was ready to work with me and my limited availability without any hesitation! On the day of my appointment, I arrived early and already very nervous. I was paired with Marion and she was incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive!! She got to work pulling options from the inspo-pictures I showed her and stayed within my budget!! She was very transparent and if anything she found was over or close too, she discussed the cost with me before even bringing the dress in. Halfway through my appointment after not liking how I looked in the style I thought I would love, I decided to step way out of my comfort zone and try a little of everything on. Marion didn’t even hesitate and began bringing in options, and one after another I finally started feeling like a bride. The final dress I tried on my family was in love with but sadly I wasn’t. So I decided to stop trying anymore dresses on to go home and think. After I got home and started looking at pictures of all the dresses I tried on. There were 2 that stuck with me, and I knew I needed to go back with my bridesmaids and try them on again…. A few days later, before I was able to call and reschedule a second appointment, Amy called me. I took it as a sign and the next day I was able to go back with MOH, who’s also my childhood best friend. We worked with Amy this time, she pulled the 2 dresses I was stuck on, plus a few my best pulled out! Amy was so patient, understanding, and just incredible as she laughed along with my best and I. One dress after another my best would call me out knowing immediately if I was happy or not, which was the voice I needed to hear. We again narrowed it down to 2 dresses, Amy then had me try on the one I’d been stuck on, she put a veil in my hair and I knew I’d found my dress. I was able to leave with my dress soon after and can’t begin to say enough good things about my experience!! I was so nervous to go dress shopping being a plus size bride. I had messaged the bridal shoppe on facebook in hopes to ease some of those nerves and they were so fast and responsive! They made me look forward to the trip more so than being stressed about it! I had 6 people with me and Rose was my consultant. SHE WAS AMAZING!! She made me feel 100% comfortable and confident! She could tell immediately when i wasn’t feeling a dress and knew that the dress i picked was the one for me. It really felt like i was in there with a friend by the end of the meeting. I am adding extra to my review to emphasize how amazing the people at the bridal shoppe are!! Since I can’t create another review I am just adding to this one. I have dress alterations today and i completely forgot to go pick my dress up Saturday while they were open. And my alteration appointment is before they open today, Monday. I reached out to them on facebook to see if there is anyway i could get my dress and they let my MIL come and pick up Sunday afternoon when they were closed. They did not have to do that at all! It was so so appreciated. Everyone I have worked with through the bridal shoppe has been more than amazing!! I recently visited The bridal shoppe to find my dream wedding dress, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. I was incredibly attentive and really took the time to understand my vision. The bridal shoppe has a Veterans Day sale/event that allows those who are marrying or are in the service to receive a free dress. I was thrilled when I found out about this event. I fell in love with a dress after having my son and then once I found out about the same event. I chose to wait and get the dress a year later. The boutique itself was stunning, with a beautiful selection of gowns that felt curated and unique. The changing area was spacious, with plenty of mirrors and great lighting, which made trying on dresses feel really special. I never felt rushed, and gave me the time I needed to decide. They even gave me advice on accessories and tips for tailoring to make sure everything would be perfect.
