Perko's Cafe — Restaurant in Riverbank

I am eating the food i bought there as I am writing this. When we were sat down we get my 17 month old son's order in so he doesn't have to wait long and it takes him a while to eat. His food arrived quickly, actually before our waitress even decided to take our order. My 17 month old son ate two large pancakes in 30 minutes and still no sign of our food. Place wasn't busy so I am not too sure what the problem was. My son was done and ready to go. He is a little guy and doesn't understand why we still needed to be seated. So I walked him around the restaurant another 15 minutes while my wife and other son ate as fast as they could. I never even touched my plate. My wife asked the waitress to box it up for me. When the manager took my money for the bill he didn't even ask how the service was. He did to the customer before me. I guess he knew how my service was. I am highly disappointed in the service and recommend any one with small...

I have been a customer of Perkos for over 30 years. Each of the last three to go orders have been problematic. first is a eggs benedict that came with no home fries the second was the hollandaise sauce was missing and there was a fried egg and today two french dip sandwiches with french fries to go only to get home and find out that there's no au jus sauce for the dip in either of them.. i went back to get to get dip for each of the sandwiches they apologized and they gave me two for me to only get home and find out that one barely has a quarter inch of au ju in the container and the other has maybe a third of the container filled up...... the smaller portion was insufficiant for half of the sandwich..iwhat's going on with your quality control who's checking the kitchen I'm not that upset with perkos because it's been a a good neighborhood restaurant to go to over the decades but after covid the quality...

We are a family of 9, we went to have lunch at the Perkos Cafe in riverbank. The service was friendly, clean tables and utensils. Our food took quite a while and the appetizers arrived when our meals came. Everything looked good until the pungent smell went across the table and my daughter got her nachos that were plain with chili beans and cheese. The chili beans smelled like a rotten mold, which is something that the chef should have noticed before serving the dish. The beans had to have been sitting overnight or uncovered all day. The server did apologize for the disgusting food and said she smelled it too. Sadly, we will NOT be going to this restaurant again! Very good and friendly service, bad...
