Went to Argosy tonight to celebrate Father's Day with my Son. Went to Journey steak house. Has been there before with good results. We both had prime rib and it was good. Gave waitress my card to pay She was gone a long time came back and said it was declined . I new it was good ! Tried running it myself no good . Card always works at ATM. Tried that didn't work. Security came acted like I was a criminal! I told them and showed them receipt from earlier transaction showing plenty of funds available. Took me to casino gage lady said my card was good. Needed my Id to give me $200. I'd had expired while I spent 11 months in hospital for a Semi accident. Wouldn't give me the money to pay the bill Tried calling back texted back fraud alerted activated because waitress entered it too fast and took many times. Because of her actions I am left with no funds for Father's Day and a senior with $3,000,000 in doctors bills and severe disabilities being treated like a common criminal. They wouldn't let me go into the casino to get water and a coke. I couldn't even get an Uber to get home. I will never go to Argosy again. If you are disabled never come here. I guess they have never heard of the Americans Disability Act of 1986. But...
Read moreKellee was our server and she was fantastic. Extremely pleasant, and was on top of taking care of us. Unfortunately they cooked my steak wrong, and also my husband's. They overcooked my filet, and it was too tough to eat. She had recommended the Oscar style for my filet and it was not good at all. It was too tangy and the crab meat smell overwhelmed the entire dish. I asked for the sauce on the side as I was afraid it would not be good and I could still eat the steak, but they didn't make it how I wanted. I got a very well done steak with sauce drowning it. I would definitely not order this dish again. My husband's was extremely rare and he does not like it like that. The bread she brought out was good, and I liked the bisque. My son's steak was perfect, so he had no complaints. They gave us 2 desserts since they messed our order up. They were definitely unique. The chocolate "bag" was made of dark chocolate and everything on that plate was edible. The "creme brulee" wasn't a typical creme brulee, it was soft and no torched sugar. It was almost a pudding. I would come back to try this place again, and hopefully they don't overcook my steak again. The filet is too expensive of a cut to be...
Read moreMy wife and I had a reservation for a Friday evening at 7pm. We were sat down and literally waited with menus for 8 minutes. We weren't greeted by our waiter and our water glasses remained empty on the table. We felt ignored and not valued as customers. I understand if someone is busy but at least smile as you walk by and say I'll be with you in a minute. I felt like my table didn't exist. None of the stafff made eye contact. It was like I wasn't even there.
I felt that this initial interaction or lack there of was an indication of the service we could expect that evening. My wife and I decided to leave, still without being acknowledged by any of the wait staff. As we left the hostess thanked us. I guess she didn't realize that she had sat us under 10 minutes ago and that neither my wife or I had a smile on our face as we were leaving.
I won't be going back to Journey and I caution anyone who is thinking about going. I imagine the food is great but I never got a chance to taste it. I figure that maybe going on a weeknight or during non peak hours you could expect decent service. That was not...
