It like many times before was a total disappointment. I drive by there each and every day and have stopped in at least once a month and always come away less than satisfied with both service & food quality. Here is the continual complaint.....#1 Long wait in the drive thru to get to the speaker box. When there it is almost always difficult to understand what is being said by the employee due to lack of language skills and the order is repeatedly repeated, even the simplest ones. #2 Now starts the wait to get to window#1 to pay and it is always longer than should be. They do for the most part manage to take my money, imagine that. However my last stop by was met with a missing employee and I gave up waiting so went to window#2 to wait some more. #3 The food was finally brought and I had to tell them the cashier was missing in action and I owed them for the meal. #4 I was told my total was going to be $8.90 from the voice on the drive up speaker....but when I got to the point where I told them I had not paid....the total was $10.90. Now $ 2.00 is in no way going to have an impact on my life.... it's the principal. They held my chocolate shake hostage till I gave them the extra two dollars. Things must be bad for this Mc Donald's due to the renovation. All this stupid drama took about 12 minutes and here is where it gets really irritating.#6 The shake was over filled and dribbling all over me and my vehicle and when asked for napkins to clean up the mess they said look in the bag and shut the window. What stellar customer service. So I did look in the bag and guess what no napkins, like I said things must be tough for this Mc Donald's. I foolishly thought I could make this night a little bit better and have a fry or two. Wrong again, the medium fry had less than a small fry would normally have in the package and to add insult they were oil soaked, limp and gooey. They where somewhat warm, but still disgusting and no way close to "Mc Donald's" quality that corporate demands. At this point I figured I might as well check out the burger, no I was not under any hope that it was going to be a simple Big Mac. Well I was not surprised when it was loaded with lettuce, onion and one burger and 3 soggy buns and an over abundance of the dressing, hence the soggy buns. This was all before I ever made it out of the parking lot. I pulled around the corner and tossed it all in the trash and went to Subway across the lot and yes I enjoyed a wonderful sandwich that was made like they actually care about what their customers eat. I got home and talked to my neighbor kids about my experiences and was told that this Mc Donald's is referred to as the local Pot Head Mc Donald's as you never know what you will get no matter what is ordered. I will say I will NEVER EVER go back to this Mc Donald's on Van Buren & Lincoln in Riverside. I highly recommend the other restaurants in the same parking lot. I also will say that I have eaten at a lot of Mc Donald's across the country and have always been happy with the food and most of the service. That was the one huge edge that Mc Donald's had over most is their food always tasted the same no matter where you bought it. That also seems to have gone by the wayside when they started changing the original metrics that made them...

Wait times in any line have actually gotten worse since my last review. Drive through wait times remain ridiculously long (at any time of day), and waiting inside the restaurant to get my drive through order fixed was excruciating. A patron paid for a Happy Meal with cash, and the only person tending the counter disappeared for several minutes while the line continued to stack up! I watched a few people wait at the back of the line, look around in agitation, then leave in a huff because NOBODY was helping to receive food orders at the register. The wait times here are costing them business! People turn around and walk away due to the long lines. Better for other burger joints in the area, I suppose. I don't understand why resources aren't better managed at this location. It's maddening that it's really close to my neighborhood but I have to drive to a different location because I STILL get my food back home faster than going here.
Drive thru remains an absolutely ABYSMAL experience at this location. Ice cream machine is always broken (why even have one?), so milkshakes and cones are out for the hot summer days. Would love to see improvement on drive thru times. Fast food should be “fast”, right? At least the...
