Ordered to go over phone. was not a good experience. we had been there a few days before and they were out of a couple of meats we like on tacos but this was not a problem. when I called, I asked if certain meats were available and after asking about the third meat, the waitress asked if I was going to continue asking questions or was I going to order. I blew it off and ordered. When I asked for a meat she had said they did not have, she said in a disgusted tone. "I told you we don't have any gizzards". I explained to her I did not hear her because the connection was not clear. normally I would just hang up and never go back but we decided to just go pick up our order. we we got there, I relayed the conversation with the young lady and asked if she thought her actions were disrespectful and... she said no. I again asked her seriously you don't find it disrespectful to talk to a customer that way and again she said... no! No one else working there seemed to care about the issue. We tried to explain our concerns on customer service and it had no affect. As we left their concern was shown by laughing. well what is losing two customers, well actually it is now four more who will never eat there. where I use to laud the restaurant, I will never tell anyone to try this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wrote the epic review 3 years ago. I stand by everything I said then. Just wanted to update with a few things.
1.) I hadn't yet tried Alambres back then. What an amazing meal. The red and green peppers are perfectly sauted in some kind of lime oil and it just perfectly complements the steak and cheese. It's a huge amount of food (even more than the quesadilla grande if you can believe it). It's served with either flour or corn (I always go corn) tortillas so it's a bit like eating fajitas. Gotta try it.
2.) The chicken salad is a ton of food for like $4. Just...insanely good value. Also, extremely healthy if you are on a diet.
3.) I had Taco Loco cater for a party of 40+ a few weeks ago. I wasn't quite sure how they'd handle that big of an order. They were incredible. There was no extra charge for all the preparation, they gave me 5 unopened bags of their chips for free, all the extra salsa I wanted. People just loved it. Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst Mexican food I've ever had and that's saying alot. The sopes were thin and floppy. They were a little thicker than a tortilla and had to fold to eat them basically like a taco. The beans and masa were bland. The hurache was the same. She never brought the rice so I had to ask for it which was also bland and we didnt wat it. 3sopes, 1 haurache, tacos, and $70 later we left still hungry and had to hit another spot. The service way horrible. The lady was rude and impatient. Ahe gave us literally 20 seconds to order and said I'll come back if you're not ready. I said one second please and she actually huffed and rolled her eyes. She was only friendly when I went to pay the bill probably because she wanted a tip. It's been years since I refused to leave a tip and for a family run establishment she should treat her customers better.
I do not recommend this place. There are 2 other restaurants in the same plaza go to one of...
