First time there and just a bad experience all around. It was a Saturday night, and it really wasn't as busy as the waitress kept apologizing for. There were 10 tables in my section and 4 of them had people. We ordered three things, two rolls of sushi (they were tasty, but made hurriedly and looked ugly) and a kids menu rice and noddles dish. The sushi came out almost immediately, and like I said, was tasty, but was made in a haste. The roll was to be wrapped in seaweed and rolled in rice, then topped with crabmeat. Krabmeat is what I got. Semantics I know, but put the "K" on the menu, don't make people think they are getting crab and not surimi. The rolls were small compared to most other local sushi places, and just didn't foot the bill. The kids meal of RICE AND NOODLES with some shrimp took almost 45mins to come out. RICE and NOODLES. Uncle Ben's makes them in 90 seconds. This was my 2yr olds food. Her mother and I were done with our food before hers came. And when it came it was all cold. The shrimp were like ice. She LOVES shrimp and refused to eat those. The noodles were cold except for where they touched the rice, which was the only thing that was warm and tasted good on the plate. What made it worse is that we were not once asked how the meal was, if it was to our liking. We made several complaints and we were told "sorry its a busy night". No attempt to make the situation better was even offered. What's even worse is that as soon as we got there I could hear another gentleman by the restroom making the same argument to the manager. THAT should have been the warning sign for us to leave. Needless to say, we were extremely excited to eat here since our favorite sushi restaurant is 20miles away, but I would rather drive 100miles for decent sushi than ever eat here again. And I will make sure to share that with...

I have been to this restaurant before but was called a different name a few months ago and always enjoyed food and service. I dined out today and the food was great but the service was horrible. The guy cooking hiabachi cooked the meal and went on his way. After the last vegetable was put on plate the waitress handed the bill and boxes. All of this took about 25mins. I go and ask the front desk if maybe I could get some drinks to finish meal or are we expected to leave and the lady just put her hand in my face and said "no finish".. being perturbed at this I just wanted to go. While leaving asked for Manger and turns out it was the one who put her hand in my face. Explaining to her the service she just gave was rude to the point of uncomfortable. Asked her for comment card and she looked quite confused... she asked the white guy next to her as if he could clarify. She completely ignored me and acted like she did not understand English. Because of her behavoir i asked to speak with the manager and the guy said "she's the manager"... I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy dinning out. But if your intrested in paying over $30 a plate for fast food, giving a tip for 25 min of service based off bill...and getting a hand in your face for asking a glass to be refilled then you found...

Akira managed to deliver an extraordinary dining experience with their hibachi chicken takeout, all thanks to the delightful cashier, Anna. From the moment I placed my order, she ensured everything was seamless and efficient, setting the stage for a delightful meal. Anna’s exceptional customer service shined through as she gracefully took my order, answered all my questions and offered helpful insights from their tantalizing menu. Her warmth and attentiveness made the takeout experience feel like a personalized journey. As I eagerly unpacked the takeout containers, the enticing aromas filled the air, promising a feast of authentic Japanese flavors. The hibachi chicken dish was a true masterpiece - tender and perfectly grilled chicken, complemented by a delectable combination of noodles, rice, vegetables, miso soup, and a refreshing ginger salad. The chef’s expertise was evident in every bite, as the flavors harmonized to create a mouthwatering symphony. It felt as though I had a private hibachi performance right in my own dining room. The attention to detail, even in takeout packaging, further impressed me. Akira’s commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience shines through every aspect of their service. I give my compliments to the chef and Anna’s exceptional...

Looking for a local sushi spot and found Akira tonight, close to our house! It’s a small but cozy place in a strip mall. Inside was very clean and well put together. Their menu is expansive and they have a lot of options, from bento box, hibachi, noddles, sushi, sashimi, etc. For apps we did the pork gyoza which was delish! I decided on the sushi dinner which had 3 rolls, with miso soup and salad included. The rolls came out and I was impressed with their size! I couldn’t finish them all! What a good value though, it was $18 for the dinner. We also ordered the Chicken Teriyaki dinner ( it the hibachi meal) and the sauce on the chicken was delicious. Fried rice on the side was good too! Service was excellent. The lady was so friendly, funny, and attentive! It was a delight to find Akira and I will be back! I want to try their lunch specials!

Dont make a door dash order with this company almost $200 later and I opted to go pick up the food MYSELF and guess what they don’t have anything ready! This is the 2nd time trying to order and get the refunds of the mess up and seems no one truly has any customer service to help and resolve the issue of the two charges of $200 out of my account. Not one person apologized or even tried to make that situation better. As I sit outside on the phone for the 2nd time with door dash and the 2nd time with my bank and talking to the restaurant it seems no one has any clue, clearly my account is showing different. The lady as soon as you walk in was rude and didn’t try to help at all with absolutely anything.

How sad that this took such a bad turn. Poke bowl had NO poke - just ground up slop or something, served in a cardboard bowl. Waitress tried explaining what poke was - laughable as she was lying saying that's how it's made there. Gross. Daughter's stir-fry was nothing but chicken (frozen) and onions. The sushi was ok, but nothing i would return for ( kinda mushy) Vibe is hurting - no hibachi style cooking at all ( Saturday night???) so very disappointing. Bathroom a mess needing repair. First time ever took no leftovers home. I hope they are able to turn thing around!
