Second Street Lunch — Restaurant in Roanoke Rapids

Second Street Lunch has a very old school diner feel to it. Overall I was very pleased with the service and food.

Food came out hot, and was very good. The fries where standard store bought but hey what can ya expect. We also purchased a burger and a chicken sandwich. They had plenty of topping options and where very generous with them.

Service was amazing. It was nice people who cared about being there. Speed of service was good, we looked at menus for a while and had to wait for our order to be taken, but it was in the middle of lunch rush. Our food came to use as fast as you would expect from a diner type of place.

Cleanliness was a little sub-par to what you would be used to from a fancy restaurant but my group was not put off by it at all. They even had a 97.0 sanitation rating.

The price was good for the food, around 10$ a person but we had plenty of refills and a few extra orders of fries. Personally the food was well worth it.

Overall Second Street Lunch was great. Good food, good service and a down to earth atmosphere. I highly recommend...

The burger in a whole was exceptional although I thought it could be a little bigger my order was 2 double bacon cheeseburgers and a regular cheeseburger all with chili cheese fries we called in the order in the parking lot they said it'd be ready in 10 mins exactly to the t it was ready in 10 mins get back to the car and the double bacon cheeseburgers were the exact same size as the regular cheeseburger I'm not usually one to complain much but you'd think if I'm paying for something to be bigger then another then that's what you expect I'm not knocking the taste of the burger at all it was delicious just should a been...

First time visit here as I do not live in the state. Staff is very nice and friendly. My group and I only had the cheeseburgers, but if the rest of the offerings are on par with the cheeseburger this place is worth the stop.
