Hank's Frozen Custard & Mexican Food — Restaurant in Rochester Township

This place has really gone downhill. Prices are ridiculous and food is just acceptable at best. We were greeted by a less-than-thrilled teenage boy who seemed annoyed at our presence. He interrupted me twice, with an attitude, to ask me questions about my order. If he had waited until I was finished speaking, he would have gotten the answers to those questions. When he called one number in particular, the woman started to approach the window. I guess she didn't walk fast enough because he literally screamed the number a second time so loudly and rudely that every customer in line just stared in shock. This kid should NOT be the face of this business. He could use a little training in customer service and manners. We ordered burgers (which were okay), shrimp and fries, and chicken and fries. The chicken and fries was laughable. I DO NOT recommend this particular dish to anyone. It was a Styrofoam container filled with mostly fries and (not exaggerating a bit here) a few extremely small, over cooked, hard and flavorless grilled chicken "pieces." It actually confused us when we saw it. The pieces themselves were no bigger than a nickel. It was really disappointing. The fries were soggy and undercooked. We went back up to order what this place claims is custard. It is not. I cannot believe they advertise it as such. We ordered 4 cones total. The first 2 came out quickly. Then the 3rd one was sat on the inside of the open window for several minutes while the worker waited for the 4th. Needless to say the 3rd cone was literally dripping all over the place. It went straight into the trash. I've been going to this place since I was a small child. The food used to be AMAZING. My visits over the years have decreased over the years. This visit will absolutely be my last.

If you are looking for genuine custard, good food, polite service, and decent prices - STAY AWAY...

Please do not go here if you have any special order/s or allergy items. They make a huge deal about it. Charge extra and then give you what you can't have and ask not to have anyhow. Something like NO TOMATOES feels like such a simply enough request. But no you get your food filled with something you ask not to have. Because you can't. Because it could put you in the hospital or worse. I'm glad I looked before I bit into it or I'd be in the hospital right now. Everytime I've been here the service, the pleasantry, the wait time have all been horrible. But today for me was it. Keep not caring about your customers and keep taking their money till you really hurt someone. I got to throw my food and my 12$ down the drain today. Thank you hanks and all employees for your complete lack of care, your rudeness, ignorance, and your bad attitudes in general for your customers and for your negligence. If you dont want to work and you dont want to be there, then dont! Super simple!...

The girl who got the Harry Potter looking glasses is ignorant as hell. Like be for real. it's your job to take orders the correct way and if you make a mistake and get called out on it then it’s also your job to fix it and not catch an attitude. It’s not my fault that I give you my order and you tell me to look at the screen to make sure everything is correct but when the order comes it’s wrong. Don’t no one got time to look at a screen with small words to figure out if everything is right…… how hard is it to read back an order!!!!! Then when you was confronted that it was wrong you catch an attitude like you didn’t wanna fix your wrong so the manger had to take over .. then I see that once of my ice creams was wrong. I’m also not gonna forget about to redhead girl that fixed my order but still slammed the window after giving me my order with an attitude like the convo / situation had anything to do with her … So the only one who gets credit is the manager...
