Delightful service, both the bartender and the owner provided great recommendations from their impressive craft beer and wine lists, featuring a lot of local, Indiana beverages. I have been a few times now and though I am picky about what I eat, mostly vegetarian and some fish, I found many tasty treats at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the plantains with the Sofrito Mayo which I could eat for days, the shrimp tostones - the tostones are incredibly fresh and authentic and even better compared to what I can get in South Florida, the black bean soup, the Monday taco special sub beans for steak (thank you for that, Uncorked!), the cheese plate, grilled cheese and guava on Cuban bread, the desserts, and yes the one time I cheated and had the pork - it was fantastic! I will definitely go back again and again whenever I'm in northern Indiana. I've not had a chance to try the sushi yet, and I hear it's amazing. Next time, I might even buy some of that awesome artwork they have hanging on their walls, they have found some impressive Indiana talent to showcase, and it would be fun to support artists from...
Read moreWe spent $41 dollars tonight to try it tonight. COMPLETE disappointment and will not be recommending. I will be completely surprised beyond belief if this place is still open 6 months from now. All they have to offer as far as entrees are lunch type sandwiches all for over 10 bucks a pop accompanied by bland plantain chips. Cheapest glass of wine was 9 dollars and wasn't but filled half a glass worth. Best part of the meal was the bread and butter appetizer which would be free at any other restaurant however given a very small portion of garlic butter sauce I asked for more and was informed it would be 3 bucks extra. Hope that 3 dollars was worth a customer because that I would have consideredat least meeting me halfway but coupled with these crippling prices for lack luster food- good luck uncorked. Try...
Read moreI had the flank steak tacos with the plantain chips and dip. FANTASTIC! I have never had plantain chips before but they were absolutely delicious. The the dip was awesome too. The tacos were amazing. Delicious chunks of spiced, slow cooked and sauced flank steak with crumbly cheso chunks and a saice that was out of this world. My only regret was that I didn't order a second serving to go to enjoy later. I also ordered a cuban expresso with frothy sugar. Also fantastic. The service was great and the atmosphere was great. I love to try new thing but if I am ever back in Rochester I will definitely return to this restaurant for another...
