Gto Tamales & more — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I was super excited to try this truck because i have been on the search for good tamales for the last year, today i went and got a dozen green chicken tamales, first look they look delicious, i was kind of sad they were a bit dry and its more masa than chicken but they have the potential to be great tamales i understand with food prices rising 24$ a dozen is reasonable my only issue is they need a bit more filling and they were a bit dry i feel like they had no green sauce. All in all i give them a 5/10 for the tamales 10/10 for customer sevice and the vibes were 10/10 i will be back to try again soon and hopefully my tamales search will come to an end. First time I went the tamales were super dry with not much filling.I believe in giving restaurants an opportunity to redeem themselves, so I decided to give this place another try and picked up a dozen green chicken tamales. While they were warm and looked appetizing, they were mostly dough with very little chicken or sauce, resulting in a very dry texture.

Update- While it's a food truck, it is still considered a small restaurant, and the experience should reflect that standard. Unfortunately, I visited twice and had the same disappointing experience both times. This raises concerns about consistency and quality, and makes me hesitant to spend more money there, not knowing if the service and food...

As soon as the cold weather hits, this is our go to spot to pick up the best-chocolate abuelita-like champurrado & tamales! They have variety of unique options. Spicy, sweet or savory whatever you’re in the mood for, they will satisfy any cravings! I love that you’re able to just call in your order so it’s ready when you pull up to their food truck!
