Really REALLY good food. Very hidden gem. We've lived in Rockford for over 20 years and have tried almost every little hole in the wall but somehow this place never came up on our radar. It's an absolute blast to the past coming in here, makes you feel like you walked back into the 90s. Prices are crazy cheap for now good it all is. 10 bucks will cover the cost of 2 people. Portions are really good. The pork tenderloin was perfect. Ordered my fries crispy and were great. Cash only, taxes included, but if you're going to cry like a little baby like the other reviewer did then you wouldn't be paying 5 bucks for a full plate. Clearly don't know how businesses work if that's how you act. My only complaint was the benches for the booths were very uncomfortable, no cushions or anything but whatever. Can't even get food this cheap at McDonald's.

This just won my pick for best burger in the area! A small place with tons of charm and fantastic food. The burgers were hand made and nicely browned with just the right amount of seasoning. The veggies were fresh and the seasoned fries were hot and crispy. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are low, low, low but remember your cash because they don't accept American Express. ;-) We ate inside but they have a really nice outdoor patio with plenty of seating. It's an industrial area which has it's own kind of beauty The only drawback is their limited business hours - 7:00am to 1:00pm Tue-Fri. But I think that makes the experience all the more special. Their sign says in business since 1896. I hope they keep going for another 125 years. Don't miss this one!

This place is awesome! The food is amazing and huge portions for the price, coffee was very meh. The omelet was large, stuffed with meats and cheese. The bacon was nice thick cuts and cooked perfectly. OMG the toast. They have an amazing breads. The wheat was very flavorful but my favorite was thier marbled rye! Couldn't get enough of it. The staff were very friendly and genuinely nice. 2 people ate a massive meal and had leftovers with drinks for under $13!! I will definitely be telling everyone about this place, I can't believe it was kept from us for so long!

Winner winner!! Tried this place after reading reviews. Bring cash, yes in 2023 cash is king. We each had Hamburger with 2 patties, cooked to order. Comes with lettuce tomato pickles and red onion. Delicious and perfectly cooked. Got bacon on side incase it would be greasy, blt later for us it was enough for that. Fries are upgrade for 1.50 and tasty as can be! We dined outside on comfy padded stools watching all the action as we just recovered from covid. It is still around. Hidden gem, shocked there isn't a line out the door. Bring cash. Tab $12 for two, large portions. Service from young female...
