Souse's Lounge — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Don't bother going unless you just want to drink. I called ahead of time to see about karaoke nights on Wednesday nights. He said it starts at 8pm. We got there at 8:25pm no one was singing. There was loud music playing one pool table, darts board that no one was using. We sat at a high rise table. No one came to take our order. I couldn't tell who worked there and who didn't. Finally after 20 min of waiting the bar tender who I could recognize his voice from the phone call earlier said that the kitchen was closed. I have three disabled sons and we were basically pushed out of their establishment. Once I told him who I was and that I would be leaving this review he started stumbling on his words and asking for me to not do this. He actually followed me to my truck too. Cause he knew what he was doing and that it was wrong. I told him I would give the review this place deserves. This is a bar and shouldn't be called anything else. Recently banned after 13 years of going to this bar. Reason being my friend had gotten her drink spiked with cocaine and she made a self awareness post on FB about being more observant of your surrounding and mentioned a few bars she has been hurt at. The manager banned her for "slandering" the bar although she mentioned she would look past it because she loves this bar 1 day a week for karaoke. And I was banned cause she is my friend and I should have told her not to post it even tho I don't have FB and wasn't aware she posted anything even tho it shouldn't matter. Then when trying to negotiate being Unbanned the manager said she didn't care cause I didn't buy drinks even tho over the years I've done the most for the bar and people coming in(barback for years before she became manager, not drinking and being DD for anyone who needed a ride home for free, and bring in many new faces because I play pool and pool is free there) Very unprofessional and wrongful accusations on the Managers part. So i came into this place at 12:00 am. Took me til 12:30 to say I dont think I’ll be getting a drink soon. I get it, if the place is packed to the tee. But miss leopard skin outfit.
