Usually I don’t make reviews but I’m justified in my reasoning to say I’ll never come back here. I came in to my scheduled appointment to a full shop which was no issue, i was sat at a table alone until a nice lady came in and immediately started on my nails. I wanted a fill in acrylic with brown French tips. We discussed how the pinky beige color wouldn’t have worked (my nails were blue at the top so it would peak through) so she asked if white as a base would work. I told her we could try it but if not I’ll settle for just brown all over. I don’t get my nails done often, and now realize for what I wanted I would’ve had to start over completely with a new set, but I was hopeful she could make it work.
Unfortunately, not. I’ve never seen a French tip, shaped/carved out with a brush dipped in polish remover to “shape” the French tip. The brown was dark and left murky stains as she cleaned it up and It was just a rushed job of doing a real French tip so I decided on just making them brown completely since I realized it wouldn’t work doing a French tip.
Instead of starting over, she painted two coats of brown over top an already thick two layers of white. I can tell she became a bit agitated but again I said just brown would be easier to do for her (and myself to be okay with) Even when cured I can tell it was just thick and not to my surprise they’re chipped not even lasting a day. I get the frustration of not wanting to start over, but I scheduled my appointment the day before, I would’ve expected to not have a rushed experience considering they were packed not even 10mins after opening, taking both walk in and appointments at the same time. Two ladies came in for pedicures for 9:15am, when me and another lady was there for 9 am appointments, they were taken back before the two of us sat in chairs. The service was lackluster and the execution wasn’t well done and this doesn’t look worth the amount spent. You can still see the white around the edges, not cuticles were cut and the “oil” was so thick even her massaging it into my hands left residue on my nails to the point where my top coat wasn’t even dry enough and absorbed it before I left the lot……just a sadly distasteful experience lol
Update: I appreciate whoever decided to reach out but no thanks. I came in literally 30 minutes ago and told the woman who came to greet me what I was there for and showed her the chipping. She walk away immediately and I can only assume what she said under her breath was an insult (in Viet) and was presumably ignored for 10 minutes as I sat upfront waiting to be helped. Other employees stared me down as she most likely cursed me up and down for my review, that I still won’t be taking down. Judging from past one star reviews I can tell yall don’t care about quality and literally laugh and those who had bad experiences. To the owner, Your employees need better direction and kindness before interacting with customers, and hold them accountable for their mistakes. The BBB has also...
Read moreWorse 1st experience ever. They rushed me & my sister with 1 guy that was lazy, didn't care. He told us to sit with cold water on r feet. Wasn't even watching my water shooting out of the pedicure tub onto my brand new Uggs. All over the floor,my boots covered in their blue pedicure solution water. Water was still cold,I even told both men that walking by, it's cold. I asked them where to pick color. He told me to stay seated. He brought it to me.He started doing my sisters feet but never massaged, scrub her feet. Just soaked and started putting chunky white lines on her nails. Then I called someone over to fix it, but again, that's not a pedicure treatment. You're supposed to get massage, scrubs, heated towel,etc...Gives me my nail color choices finally, walks away. My sister picked the French tip. I pick just color. Told the lady that started doing my feet,no cuticles. She still does cuticles like I don't feel it and goes "See I do it a little." After i said to stop and i dont want my cuticles done!I hear my sister constantly tell them make the French tip skinny not chunky but they still do it their way both feet uneven. Then we go to checkout. They tell us we're paying a extra $15 for no chip. When we didn't even say no chip. We thought they were just fixing the mess ups on r feet . So the lady at checkout goes oh sry they did it, but still wants me to pay for no chip even tho she knows they did it without asking us and put us through hell as customers. Never will go here again. I suggest u do the same!! $100 wasted when it should of been $55 since they never gave my sister a actual pedicure, messed up her feet then charged for no chip. When rly they can't make French tip lines right.Myself, ruined my boots, don't listen no cuticles, cold water, charge me a extra $15 for no chip when really it's them going over ur nail 5x bc they can't paint ur nails without bumping paint. That's not a no chip, especially when neither of us said no chip. Way to scam people for money after u ruined their boots didn't give one a full pedicure, charge us for something that never was mentioned. Last time I checked, no chip means u say u want it, and it's a special nail polish. Not redoing ur mess ups on nails bc ur rushing. Then lie to customers. We went over it multiple times without asking u. So u pay an extra $15 each.Worse company and experience ever!! FYI, our nails still chipped after putting back on r shoes like i told you they would. Why we said we brought in sandals for u to use. So look ur no chip method is a joke, like your company & half fast staff!!
To your response. Learn English. Yes it was done here. I know it's $30. But after all u guys did to us and charged us an extra $30 for no chip and not doing a pedicure treatment to my sisters feet. We shouldn't have been charged $95 and ruining my boots morons! Also read ur negative reviews that are recent. Not the only one that thinks ur...
Read moreHorrible do not waste your time here go somewhere else! So originally when this salon opened 5 years ago things were top notch. Fast FORWARD ⏩ TO LAST WEEK. I called ahead to have a friend of mine set up for a no chip mani/pedi combo. The person who answered the phone asked how long it would take to get there. I told them 10 minutes as we were driving from MidTown Rockford to Loves Park from a DR Appointment. I get my friend to the salon and it’s very cold & windy. My friend is in a wheelchair and has edema in her feet & legs. I finally get her in the salon that is not very wheelchair friendly…There is a man watching & waiting for me to help my friend get situated & into the pedi chair. The first thing I noticed besides the rude employees & lack of customer service is that the pedicure chair only has about 3 inches of water in it. Plain water no sea salt no nothing! I don’t even know if the water was even warm. Finally with no assistance my friend is ready for the man to begin. Then I hear excuse me…excuse me? I notice the nail tech was talking to the back of my head as I was bending down to help my friend with her socks. I look up and look him in the eyes & he says “I can’t do her feet”…. I ask him to elaborate why he Can NOT do her feet. They all start talking back in forth in Vietnamese to each other. Now mind you I am from a family that has Vietnamese roots so I know! Long story short they send another nail tech over another male nail tech wearing some very colorful fingernail polish of different colors & then he proceeds to tells me again in English that nobody is able to do my friend’s pedicure! My friend’s feet were swollen from the Edema!!!! I was beginning to get very angry at this point!!! Nobody could give me a valid answer as to why they were unable to help my friend with her Pedicure. At this point I am ready to snap! Furious! Customers come to the nail shop to be pampered & serviced. I make it known that I am a local guide for google & I will take down my 5 star review….Finally a women comes over and offers to cut and paint my friends feet. I get up & leave the shop because I am furious & regretting recommending this salon. Long story there was more discrepancies but I will tell you they didn’t offer her sea salt, or even cuticle oil or lotion. I literally had to ask them for lotion for her hands after the manicure! Horrible service, horrible treatment & bad all the way around including the half ass paint job on my friend’s toes. I will never again recommend Happy Nails to Anyone. Please save your money & stay away from happy nails! How do you even offer services but try to refuse good...
