Just bought 4 Gyros, Learned that the Pita and the amount of meat is much smaller than before, when I had to save half for later. Pull meat out of the pita to close it. Now Its much smaller, they keep the meat in a side pan waiting for customers instead of cutting it off when its ordered, the meat is dark, cold and tastes of old oil... It's super tender with a buttery pita, tender meat, tons of tadziki sauce, and crisp onions. If you order it plus tomatoes you will get some extra crispness and acidity for no extra charge, although they might sacrifice a piece or two of meat. Either way this Gyro is unbelievable and must be tried. Yes the neighborhood is super sketchy, sometimes with panhandlers about; however UN has had a security squad on duty recently at nights and that's definitely appreciated. The restaurant is standing room only, one person served inside at a time, so this is definitely only for takeaway (I can't really recommend you eat it in your car..too messy).
