Lumpia and bubble tea, my two favorite things in the entire world, all in one place!? I must be dreaming, it's all too good to be true! If any place has some good bubble tea, or good Filipino food, then I'm in love.
That is exactly what this place offers! I got the Lava Flow drink with boba of course, as well as some lumpia. The drink was amazing. It was super refreshing, super delicious, and I loved the little bit of cherry in it. It really was the "cherry on top!" The boba itself was actually really flavorful too, and in every sip there was boba which I love.
Not only was the drink amazing, but so was the lumpia! Lumpia is one of my all time favorite foods, and if you make it right then I love you. There were so many other delicious Filipino foods on the menu as well that I want to try next time! Anyways, the lumpia was really crunchy and crisp, and they were seasoned perfectly! The meat inside was very tasty as well, and most important, they tasted authentic!
The workers were also super nice and friendly. When we walked in we were immediately greeted, and they said that if we have any questions to just ask!
To be honest, I wasn't expecting the bubble tea to be as good as it was! Overall, I loved this place and I really want to come back to get some more Filipino food, and some...
Read moreStumbled upon this place and the experience was wonderful. I ordered the Kaldereta rice plate and bf ordered the Lechon Kawali rice plate. Portion was great for the price! Each plate comes with heaps of rice, sauce, and pickled radish on the side.
The Kaldereta had chunks of tender beef stewed with potatoes and carrots. Super flavor-able and filling. Lechon Kawali was crispy and delicious! The meat to rice ratio was perfect. We also ordered a few appetizers, 12 piece lumpia and cheese powdered fries. The lumpia was nice and crispy and the cheese powder on the fries had a subtle sweetness.
Before we left we ordered the sago gulaman and pandan mochi waffles to share. The sago gulaman was incredibly refreshing and aromatic. The mochi waffles had that yummy mochi texture, the coconut shavings and condensed milk on top added the perfect amount of sweetness.
The place was clean and inviting with soft music playing in the background, they also had a display of merch selling cool little things like boba plushies, stickers and T-shirts.
My bf had a conversation with the owner Ricky before we left. He was very kind and sincere. We left the place hoping for nothing but success for this small business! Can't wait to tell all our family and friends and bring them by to support this wonderful...
Read moreIt is rare to find a good filipino restaurant and that is why we can say that Kultura Cafe was truly an awesome find! The atmosphere is a little modern and reminiscent of bubble tea cafes and a large portion of their menu is just that - bubble tea. The entire restaurant was very clean, including the bathroom which was spotless! But it was the filipino entrees that caught our attention and earned them a 5-star review. The list of entrees was limited and from experience that was a good sign. We tried the tapsilog and it was by far the best tapsilog that we have ever had in the U.S. and the Philippines. My wife also had the halo halo. She is a connoisseur of filipino desserts and rated it highly! The chef did substitute toasted coconut for pinipig, but it worked well! I went pretty far out on a limb an tried the mango-calamansi-honey tea - and it was pretty good. We just left and we are already looking forward to go back. We did learn that this is a new set of owners that just bought the restaurant two years ago. We can only wish them the...
