I have been to this coffee shop before and I'm actually here right now. I came in early on a Saturday to get some work done and I'm the ONLY customer in here. I walked in and was barely greeted by one of three employees, the one who greeted me simply paused in conversation with the others and muttered a "hello" to me. They were fairly busy making coffee for themselves.

I have never written a negative review for a place, but there is virtually no customer service here. When I found that all the employees are volunteers, I suppose that helps explain what's happening.

Again, I was the only person here, and working away on my laptop with my headphones in and heard the barista yell out that my latte was ready at the counter. In my experience working at a sit-down coffee shop, I can usually muster up the energy to bring the customer their drink -- regardless of how busy it is -- and certainly if there's ONE person in the whole shop.

The coffee tasted just fine and the atmosphere is nice and cozy with plenty of outlets for getting work done. The volunteers however are a little preoccupied with conversations among themselves, making their own drinks, and spending time on their phones.

Honestly, I usually wouldn't give a rip, but I think whoever is managing this coffee shop...

Its getting 2 stars only because its super nice inside and their friday night open mic is pretty cool. However everything was a poor experience. To start off: i walked in for the first time ever cause I've heard good things. The first thing i notice is several kids behind the counter all of whom are on their phones and none of them working. There was no greeting or a "welcome" "what can we get for you" I got a black cold brew to drink and it was not good. Tasted way over brewed. I noticed throughout the hour i stayed that these kids working there were on their phones 24/7. Every employee drinking something sitting on the counters in groups. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. You could tell none of them wanted to be there and were very poor at customer service. I do not recommend this place to anyone but would advise going somewhere else where the employees are professional and actually work, greet, and talk to customers and where the coffee...

Like your coffee served with a side of pretentiousness?

They laughed in mine and my wife's face when my wife asked for a modification to her order. They said it wasn't possible. For people who are supposed to be professional Baristas they sure don't know their craft.

Apparently they don't take any pride in the products they serve either, as my simple order of drip coffee was lukewarm and flavorless.

The overweight blonde-haired guy with a tie-dye shirt and the girl working with him leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service. They act as if you should be doing them a favor and don't seem to realize that their customers are who make or break their business.

If I was the owner I would be embarrassed by this behavior and have them fired. Safe to say my wife and I will never be coming back here. Good riddance, this place deserves to go out...

I was in a need to find a new place to study, find a different coffee shop, a friend of mine told me about "Origin Coffee & Tea". The atmosphere feels chill here, there is old-style wooden tables with charging ports, also high tables too. As the place's name claims they offer coffee and tea (moderately price too) Expresso $3.25, Cappuccino $4, Latter $4.50, hot chocolate or lemonade $4. (Roughly the prices range as low as $3 to as high as $6.50). Depending on the day the place can get really packed, (this is more during after school hours). I personally enjoy the place and it's chill vibe. I'm definitely thanking my friend and would recommend it to my other friends who are looking for a chill place to have coffee, tea, or a drink while studying or getting work done. I would recommend the same to anyone too!

Came in to try some drinks and food, and I got the iced chai latte ($5) and a chocolate croissant. The latte was super good and has a light but flavorful vanilla chai flavor and was slightly sweet. I think it's my favorite thus far. The chocolate croissant was huge and so shiny and flaky. I didn't ask but if there is an option to warm it up so the chocolate could melt, it would be beyond perfect. I also took a bite from the almond pastry (not sure what its called but had chopped almonds in a flat flaky bread) and I liked it more than the croissant surprisingly. Nice toasted almonds with vanilla taste. Can't wait to come back and try some more drinks and pastries.
