I was a regular at Boneshakers so I had very high hopes that this place would be just as good. My friend and I were greatly disappointed. Some of the issues were growing pains from just opening back up but others were just that the place isn't set up to be a top tier tap house.

The staff was very very friendly and mostly professional including Austin, the owner.

The beer board was very ho hum at best. While the selections offered may satisfy a lot of people, true beer aficionados will be largely disappointed. Basically, the selection is run of the mill stuff I can get at the grocery store or Total Wine. All beers across the board are $8 which is a bit steep compared to Boneshakers and other Tap houses who vary the prices and pour size loosely based on quality and ABV.

Last night there was an event from College Brewing who offered 16oz cans for $5 during the opening night of NFL. I ordered one of these and the College Brewing guy simply handed me a can like we were tailgating. I won't even serve a beer in a can to a guest in my own house. It's rude and doesn't help the beer taste it's best.

We ordered the pretzel sticks and a pepperoni pizza. I hate pretzels but they looked ok but are very likely frozen and the cheese I'm sure was generic style nacho cheese goo.

The pepperoni pizza was way overpriced at $12, almost not edible and was for sure frozen. Boneshakers offered real wood fired pizza that was pretty darn good and was only $6 during happy hour. I can't comment on the other menu items but I suspect they would be equally disappointing.

Needless to say, I won't be going back unless things change which is sad as I live quite close and really wanted to...

We came to this place with our toddler for Lunch with Bluey. I had hopes that this place would be ready for kids and make it kids friendly as they made such an advertisement but to our disappointment they weren’t. This is a real pub, bar stools and counters throughout, it’s dark inside, they played heavy metal music while they have over 50 kids there. Why? We felt so uncomfortable of the atmosphere. There is a patio outside which would be perfect for the families to hang out while waiting for Bluey but they didn’t have any umbrellas or shades, it was wide open on the sun and 90+ degrees. Bluey arrived half an hour late. All these toddlers were waiting bored out of their mind in this dark pub with a heavy metal on and the rest were waiting outside on the sun and heat. It was a nightmare. The staff seemed to be so irritated and had zero customer service. Food was terrible. We ordered two kinds of wings and chicken quesadilla. We waited for it for about 40 minutes for the first set of wings to arrive. When they arrived, the wings appeared to be reheated. The bones inside the wings was cold, and the meat was tasteless. Then it took them another 15 minutes to bring the other food. Mind that we ordered our food before it got crowded. I just don’t get it why they do it for kids when there’s nothing kid friendly in there. Never again would I go there myself moreover take my...

The menu prices did not match the amount we were charged. When I asked the bartender about the prices listed on the menu, she blamed the menu manufacturer. She told us that she couldn't give us a receipt, but that we were welcome to wait an hour for the manager to come in. We were there for the princess brunch so waiting for an hour at a bar with a 4 year old wasn't going to happen. There was another person waiting in line behind me who also wanted to inquire about their tables prices, but she ended up leaving because it took so long for either of the bartenders to help us. The whole thing was strange.

I gave two stars because the quesadilla was tasty and the princess (who isn't affiliated with the bar) was great! But the pizza was undercooked, we had to re-cook it at home. Also should be noted that it isn't much of a brunch. It's a small kids menu and their normal bar menu.

Edit: thank you for responding! We knew the prices didn't match because we added up what was on the menu and it didn't add up to what we were charged. We knew this was a free event but we spent $$ at the establishment so it actually wasn't free for us. We gave your small business our business. Lastly, it is advertised as a brunch, that's why I made the note. We were going to give it another try for the next princess brunch but I think we won't be back after...

Parents, keep your eye out for PainKillers Pub & Grub! Found out on Faceboom about their first time ever hosting Elsa! There was story time, freeze dancing, games, coloring, and a goody bag! My daughter just got such an intimate time w Elsa. It really filled her cup. The food, drinks, and vibe were great for parents wanting to feel like adults still. Kids menu avail. Ample surface area w the outdoor seating. Connect 4 is also there! Our total check was $62 ish for 1 drink, 2 apps, 1 entree. Could've been $46 cuz we couldve managed without the entree! We had 2 adults and 1 toddler. My hus fr PA approves of the soft pretzel. I didn't care for the tri-tip quesadilla. Too thin. Wish it was just carne asada. Con is food took a long time to come out, but I was told they weren't expecting such a busy Sunday with the Elsa event. I hope to see Spiderman or Moana there some time *hint*hint* This is the last place I would expect a character pop up, but the best setting for parents!!

PainKillers Pub & Grub in Rocklin nails it every time with their unbeatable combo of amazing food, top-tier beer, and nonstop entertainment. Their menu is full of crowd-pleasers, perfectly paired with a rotating selection of craft brews that keep things fresh. And the entertainment? It’s always on point—week after week, you can count on live music, trivia, and a lively vibe that never misses. It’s the kind of place where the fun doesn’t just happen; it’s practically guaranteed!
