Sully's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Rocklin

We are not from Rocklin. We were going to see friends that do not go out much so I did some research on where my wife and I might have some fun and possibly corrupt our friends. Sully's was close and looked fun. IT WAS!!! We showed up about 8:30 p.m. The place was very loud but had a good "vibe". We ordered our food which came in reasonable time for as crowded as they were. The food was hot and very good. They had pool and darts which I normally would have been all over but our friends "not so much". So I signed up for karaoke. It took an hour and a half but I was able to sing the song I signed up for uninhibited. I have been banned from singing at some venues for singing song lyrics that are on the screen I.E. "Biiiaaaatttttcchhh" this place loved it! I will definitely be back. This was the best time I have had at a bar since the pandemic started. The locals and the staff were super friendly!! So many reviews look great so I wonder if the night I went just happened to be particularly lame. The impression I got from this place was that it’s very “cliquish” and pumping with ego. Definitely did not seem welcoming to outsiders or non-Rocklin residents. The staff I was overall unimpressed with. The bartenders were selective with their regulars and the drinks were sloppy and weak, they lacked personality, charm, and general awareness. The karaoke guy…. That was so disappointing. He had zero talent and a lousy ethic. Nobody in the bar seemed to care one bit about anyone that was singing, which I don’t understand because most bars don’t even have karaoke on the weekend. The African American bouncer is the rudest and most aggressive bouncer I’ve ever encountered. I know that it was my mistake, but I wasn’t thinking and walked outside with my beer still in my hand while I was checking my phone to see when the Uber would come, since the connection was bad in there. The bouncer runs up to me, grabs me, very hard and slaps the drink out of my hand I couldn’t believe the amount of aggression and how hard he grabbed me.
