Disappointed and Misled – Be Aware of Extra Charges!
I recently visited the HTeaO location in Rockwall and ordered two small Marfa Morning drinks. The picture clearly shows the drink served iced, so I naturally assumed that was how it came. However, when I got to the window, I was told that Marfa Morning is made hot by default and was charged an extra $2 just for getting it iced, which was never explained upfront.
There was no indication on the drive-thru menu that iced costs extra, and the staff didn’t mention any additional charge when I ordered. It feels very misleading to advertise a drink in a picture as iced but then upcharge for it without clearly stating that anywhere. If the standard version is hot, why is the promotional image iced?

Read moreGoing to be honest, I was not impressed. They took 6 minutes after I walked in to acknowledge me. It would have been nice for someone to say hi and tell me they’d be with me in just a moment. The lines were disorganized, the store seemed understaffed, and not one person looked happy to be there. When I finally got served, it was clear they didn’t even pay attention to their mobile orders and had to make my drink on the spot. It was supposed to be ready at 3:51 and it wasn’t ready until 3:59.
Painfully awkward and I would probably never go back, because it doesn’t even taste like my add ins were placed in the drink. I ordered a combo and it looks like just the first flavor tea was added. I can’t even taste the syrup I asked for.

Read moreI love me some HteaO & really appreciate my go-to locations. This one seems to be more new & it's obvious in its customer service. I know some locations give you the fruit in tiny cups instead of placing it directly in the drink, which is fine. But every time I've come here, they only give one piece of orange or 2 cherries, etc. I've never been so begrudgingly shorted on fruit pieces at any other location I've visited.
The fruit and serving area when I've gone in didn't look like it'd gotten wiped down in awhile. And then the 3 employees there didn't seem to have much business because they were all silently watching me & waiting for me to come up to the counter to pay, while I was trying to go at my own pace figuring out what drinks I was going to get- it made me feel so uneasy & uncomfortable.
