Moe & D's — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

We had high hope for this place, but the prices and quality we're not up to expectations.

My daughter and I went and saw a menu of mostly hamburger and hot dogs. There WAS a lonely grilled cheese on the menu, so my daughter and I decided to split that, which came with fries. Since we were splitting it, I thought we get some fried pickles, as well. The sandwich came out very flat, literally. It was as if the chef flattened the bread. So the sandwich had to fluff or crunch. It did, however, make it easy for my daughter to eat, but what one would imagine a grilled cheese sandwich to be like. The pickles were pretty good! My issue is that the fried pickles cost MORE than the grilled cheese combo (grilled cheese, drink, and fries). I'm not sure how they arrive at their pricing (cost of ingredients + some kind of supply/demand formula?), but it seems a...

First time visiting this restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the experience had there. The restaurant was clean and well decorated with a pleasant motif. Our waitress took the time and explained the menu choices and the best sellers etc. I had the Philly cheese steak and a side of delicious fried okra, and my wife had the buffalo wings, both dishes were piping hot and excellent in flavor and presentation. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. Mo's has a full bar with tasty cocktails and outside seating. Total cost of lunch was $28 dollars and well worth it. Have been here twice first time for a Philly sub! It was good and stuffed! Second time I came in I ordered wings &a drink called “sneaky link” . I sat down inside and waited the cook came out several times to stare at me. I ignored it . Finally got my wings they were amazing ! But then I tasted my drink. It was like somebody put cough syrup in it and lemonade then had the nerve to be I think 15$. I’ll only order wings but I won’t sit inside or ever order a drink again.
