Adorable food truck, lovely folks, great concept! Taste of Maine is dedicated to bringing lobster and crab rolls, chowder, and more Maine favorites to Huntsville. They use fresh, never frozen lobster meat and travel up to Nashville often to get the nicest products they can offer. The price for seafood dishes is high as a reflection of this fact, but to be fair, it compares quite favorably to the prices I saw the last time I was in the northeast, and you get what you pay for! Full disclaimer: I'm still working on my taste for seafood! So I honestly can't speak on whether the rolls are good, personally - but let it be known I've seen SO much press about this place and not ONE thing less than stellar has been said about the quality and flavor of their lobster, crab, or chowder. If it's anything like my sandwich in terms of taste and quality, I'm sure you'll be happy! Fun fact: if you're doing low carb or just wanna cut some calories, they'll make your lobster or crab roll in a bowl for you. With that out of the way...follow them on social media (they seem most active on FB) to keep up with where to find them. They've been at Latham Methodist Church on Tuesdays for a couple weeks now, which is where I met them. I used their accessible, free, and easy online ordering system and I got a text when my food was ready for me. For the seafood-suspicious like me, they have grilled cheeses, fluffernutters (a northeastern specialty: peanut butter + marshmallow fluff) and hot dogs! You can add bacon, lobster, or crab to your grilled cheese for an added cost. I have been craving a grilled peanut butter sandwich so I got a fluffernutter. It was my first time trying one and oh boy, was it yummy! Salty, buttery toast, gooey smooth peanut butter, and sweet, sticky fluff made this a super tasty treat. For only $5, it came with a bag of kettle chips and a small container of coleslaw. It wasn't a /ton/ of food, but plenty for the smaller lunch I was wanting, and where else can you do that for $5?! I will be back to try a grilled cheese, too, if I can pull myself from the fluffernutter! The lady running the truck was perfectly pleasant and lovely, too! Just a heartwarming experience all around. I grabbed a whoopie pie for dessert (the Maine favorite Wicked Whoopie) and it was good! Reminded me a bit of like a Swiss cake roll but in soft cookie sandwich form. Definitely give this truck a try! They deserve your business.

Y’all omggggg I literally spent so much here because we ordered half the menu šŸ˜‚. Everything single thing was so delicious. My husband and I ordered: 2 perfect storm rolls, lobster bisque, potato salad, Whoopie pie, and moxie. The rolls were absolutely AMAZING and large. WORTH the money. I wasn’t too crazy about the moxie. It’s like a root beer crossed with a dr. Pepper. I think it’s all about preference though. Everything else was very good and will get again. Highly recommend getting there early wherever they are because they ran out of rolls in about 1 Hr due to the high demand. We will definitely be getting food from them again!!

I ordered a crab melt with double meat and two sides. I waited over 25 minutes for a bland sandwich with more butter than crab. It was so tasteless and dry I almost didn't eat it. The sandwich was in severe need of seasoning or flavor. It tasted like plain buttered toast, with a hint of unseasoned boiled crab. Considering I paid for double the crab, I'd be terrified to see what the regular portion is. Others ordered the $15 lobster roll special, which looked better (though still not great). I was extremely disappointed, and definitely won't be back.

This is going to be a long one, but I promise it's worth it.

First, let me tell you, Al is the man. He has the most amazing personality and is so friendly, you want to hang out with him all night. Seriously, such a nice guy!

Second, despite living in the south most of my life, I spent 6 years living in New England to be closer to my husband's family. We moved to Alabama last August, and one of the biggest things we missed was the fresh seafood, specifically lobster. We finally got to try them out tonight at the Food Truck rally in Huntsville. There is no reason that food this good could be coming off of a food truck except for the pure magic that is happening inside. Despite being 1,200 miles away from New England, you never would have known it based on how amazing the lobster was. It was incredibly fresh, huge pieces of lobster. Honestly, there's some restaurants IN New England that don't do lobster as amazing as Taste of Maine did.

Additionally, I have very severe food allergies and not only was I able to find an item to order (only allergy sufferers will truly understand the significance of that) but I also felt completely comfortable eating here.

My husband (the native New Englander) and I will both most definitely be back as I'm already craving...

Best meal we’ve had since moving to Alabama!! I’ve been following their Facebook page for months, and finally had the opportunity to try their amazing lobster rolls (and then some!) I’m now on a mission to spread the word about just how perfect this experience was!!

We tried the fresh lobster bisque, clam chowder, and peanut butter whoopie pies in addition to the ā€œPerfect Stormā€ style lobster rolls with coleslaw and chips. In my opinion their prices are a steal, since everything is freshly transported here and they really overfill those delicious lobster rolls!

The owners are also super friendly and even stopped by our car to check in. I hope that everyone who enjoys seafood will give this place a try to help support and expand their...
