My boyfriend and I grabbed bowls for dinner tonight and we were quickly greeted by the staff there. She was pleasant and attentive! I enjoyed the spicy tuna in my bowl, but the seaweed salad tasted spoiled ): my boyfriend enjoyed the ahi tuna and shrimp in his bowl, but I definitely think a lot of flavorful sauces are needed for those protein options because they’re a bit bland otherwise. Excellent, very simple fast food, fresh and pleasant to eat. However, the young Chinese guy, supposedly the owner, was on his phone when I went in, didn't change the glove and went on making my bowl. Even though he didn't touch food directly it's still a violation of health code and general ethics. He kept that glove on for 30 minutes and served another batch of 6 patrons. as someone with celiac disease (super super allergic to gluten) and a love for asian/hawaiian food, poke quickly became my fav food. i used to always order at the bolingbrook location but as soon as this one opened way closer to my house, i am IN LOVE. majority of their menu is gluten free (including their sauces!) which is awesome and i called up there to confirm a menu item wasn’t gluten free and the man i spoke with on the phone was so sweet and amazing 🫰🏼food is fresh and delicious!!! thank you...
