Italian Touch — Restaurant in Romney

As far as restaurants go, this is the little restaurant that tried really hard... but couldn't.

The first impression was one of dirty. The parking lot is in the rear. The approach to the restaurant takes you past a very dirty back kitchen area. It's not a great first impression.

The inside of the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The single bathroom was very small but clean. The service was fast....too fast, actually. As soon as i received my salad, my main course arrived. The bread did not arrive at the table until after the meal began. To make it even worse, two in our party did not receive their meals until others were well into their's. The food timing was horrible. What I found repulsive was my waitress picking up my cup, for a refill, with her finger INSIDE my cup. VERY gross. Also, storing all the restaurant's dirty dishes are stored in the lobby area, awaiting someone to retrieve them. Really? My spaghetti 🍝 was not drained well enough, and the puddle of water on my plate made part of my chicken soggy. Overall, i think this place survives because there is not much competition, and they can get away with...

Today is Feb.16,2023, the food is real good but some of the people there have a VERY NASTY attitude. I get food there quite often and have never had a problem until today, never had to take food back before. I ordered food and they didn't make it right so I called to let them know that my sub was wrong so they said they would replace my sub but I asked them if they were going to replace my fries since I would have to bring the sub back and they said No, because they were here. I explained that the fries were to be eaten with the sub and I didn't think I should have to eat cold fries for a mistake that they made with my sub. I don't feel that I should have to eat cold food for a mistake that they made. Because of the way I was treated I'm not sure if I will ever order there again, most of the time we spend close to $50 or more. 5 stars for food and 2 stars for some of the people...

We were there of 8/9/25. We could see the kitchen. I’m not usually a fan and typically get concerned about kitchen things lol. This kitchen worked like a ballet performance on crack. They moved so fast and so fluid in a tiny area. I saw them make most items from scratch. The food “get outta here” it was fabulous! The girls that waited on us. They were pure dolls. The sweetest young women that ran in the tiny area going overboard to serve and be kind. I didn’t want to go here. We were traveling and it was out of the way. I’m so glad we did. The prices were ridiculously reasonable. Don’t change a thing! We tipped more than I’ve ever tipped in a restaurant and if I’d of had more cash, I’d have tipped more. Perfect little spot.
