I ordered 3 items and they all would get different ratings. Yum Yum roll gets 5 stars. Spicy crab and the sweet mayo and the crispy crumbs and the tender rice. Great balance of taste and texture. Rainbow roll was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's a simple, boring roll, but steady - 4 stars. The tuna sashimi was at best 3 stars. Portion was huge, but the texture was like it got frozen and defrosted. Just a little mushy. Also, when you eat this last, there's the law of diminishing returns too. Definitely worth visiting again. No indoor dining though so all take out which was a bit of a bummer too.

I ordered General Tso's and Pad Thai. The General Tso's chicken was VERY good and you can tell it was REAL chicken breast. The fried rice was bland and didn't taste like fried rice. The beef pad Thai was AMAZING and the sesame chicken was good. Will definitely be a regular of this place. Update: Don't get the General Tso's chicken. There has literally only been ONE time I got that dish out of 3 times and it was good. It's always so tough and chewy and I always end up spitting out more than I actually swallow. There's just no good Chinese food in West Michigan. Sadly.

I guess you get what you pay for. I went here open minded as I knew it was a new place for me. I love sushi and generally keep an open mind about new places. This place wasn't pleasant for my wife and I. The benchmark for me with sushi is the California Roll. These rolls were all small in portions and with the meat. The other benchmark for me is how do their crab rangoons taste? These were basically all cream cheese and they were undercooked. The most concerning part is the EGG SHELL MY WIFE FOUND. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here.

Decided upon this place while in town staying at an Airbnb not far from here. It was myself, my husband, our adult daughter, her husband and their young daughter. We knew nothing about the place other than reading about a few good reviews both on here and on Reddit. When we walked in we were all a little surprised it was an order and take type place. There are a few tables, but you order like a take out/fast food place. We didn't want to leave since we were there, all very hungry and wanted sushi and the reviews were good. The weather was good so we decided we would get our food and eat on the deck at our Airbnb. We ordered and waited. The service was quick and there were chairs to wait. It was our daughter's birthday and she was wearing a tiara saying so. The gentleman at the register was very friendly and helpful, both with ordering and with celebrating her birthday by giving complimentary Ramune. We got 11 sushi rolls and the price was INCREDIBLE! And the taste was SO GOOD!! I wish I could go back! If ever in town again, it will be the first place I go. Everyone loved it, even the 4 year old granddaughter. I wish I had gotten pictures, we ate...

This place is the greatest. We went in there once and asked if they could make us something not on the menu. Without a moments thought, they said yes, gave it a price and whipped it up. Since then, we've been in once or twice a week to get the same thing. And they always know exactly what we want when we walk in.

The staff is always friendly, and seem genuinely happy to see me when I come in.

On a more personal note, someone almost always helps me out with my food, since I'm disabled. I'm very appreciative of this simple act of kindness.

Thank you to all of you for the great food and amazing service.

As a follow up, I haven't had curry in about 30 years. I asked how theirs was, and he offered to make me a sample. He whipped up a red curry with shrimp that was perfectly spiced and delicious. I will definitely be ordering that again. I can't...

Update: On my last ride by I stop by to talk, they were painting after the kitchen fire. Estimated reopening, the 2nd week in August 2024. I've lived in Asia, and American Asian food is a bit different. Yum Yum does a great job considering Muskegon isn't the best place for sourcing hard to find Asian ingredients, and that makes the authentic flavors difficult to reproduce. The egg rolls are beef, and are stuffed full of it. Hands down the best egg rolls in town. The stir fry veg is very good, and a heavy load of broccoli, zucchini, carrot, onion, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. The garlic sauce isn't overpowering, and salt isn't the main seasoning. The sushi is quite good. The smoked Eel roll being my favorite, with the Dragon roll hot...
